I feel like the two being a couple wouldn't be bad. They're both pink and silly.
They would definitely meet either in battle or through Medkit simply. Their dynamic would be something of Vinestaff trying to get on his good side. Subspace would definitely be fascinated by the curse on her arm. She would be seen as a little gunieu pig to him, so he would always ask for her to come over. Not to find a curse. Just to make use of her in some way.
But Vine truly believes they are friends. She cares dearly for him. But it seen like he does not listen to her nor care for what she has to say. He sees her as a product. Something to be experimented on. But as they go on with visits for months, Subspace begins to listen a bit when she talks, even replying with something other than "Mhm." "Oh." "I see."
She notices, but doesn't bring it up since Subspace likes to deny having feelings in general. He gets accustomed to that voice he once despised. Very accustomed. Even taking time off from experimenting and just bringing her over to hang out. Vinestaff brings him lovely flowers he would like. His favorite of the plants being any carnivorous plants. And just anything poisonous. Despite their differences, they find interest in one another.
Vinestaff encourages Subspace to feel something in him and show emotions. This ensues a breakdown of how Subspace is only kept around for his value in Blackrock. Vinestaff encourages the empathy in him he rarely shows. He still experiments on people, but he is completely aware of what he is doing. Vinestaff doesn't know of this. But she may soon
