Chapter 9

~Kaylee's pov~

Finally make it 'home'.. The place where I was taken walking up to the gates.

"State your business." A tall muscular man says walking out of the woods looking as if he was rolling around in the dirt. I look at him not in the mood to explain who I am and have people all around me. I start to walk through the gate when he is right in front of me.

I roll my eyes at him. "Move please." I say as I try to walk around him. He pushes me back and narrows his eyes at me. "Not happening. Either state your business or I'll have to take it as your a threat. Don't make me hurt you."

Now I couldn't help up laugh. My eyes must be turning yellow by now bc a lower rank is trying mg to tell an alpha what to do not only that but he is trying to keep me from my mate.

"I'm the daughter of your alpha and your future alpha to be now step aside!" He flintches at my voice with out meaning to I guess I uses the alpha tone.. "Sorry I'm not in the mood to be dealing with this." I don't know why I felt bad for being rude but shouldn't the people know who I am?

"Kaylee?!" I see my brother running around the man. "Its okay that's my sister." He had a big goofy smile. He gives me a hug and I couldn't help but smile. I've really missed my brother.

"Your different I almost didn't even recognize you. I see you have been working out and your hair is so different! Paige has been waiting for you." He let goes and starts to walk away. Looking back at me "are you coming?" I nod my head and chase after him.

"I'll race you up there!" I yell and take off running. He is right on my heels I made the mistake of looking be hind me and crash into someone

"Ouch!" Someone yells and I try to get off of them untill I feeling the electric shocks run all over my body. Flipping the girl onto her back.

"Hey baby." I smile at her.

"Kaylee.." Paige looks at me tears start to fill her eyes. "I've missed you so much! I could smell you so I went out side to find you but looks like you found me. I wanna know--" I cut her off by smashing my lips to her's.

I pull back looking into her eyes "I've missed you more." She smiles up at me but it soon falls to a frown "We have a lot to talk about. Your father is waiting for us in his office along with your mom and a few others. As much as I hate having to share you right now we need to get a plan together for your safety."

This makes my laugh and she looks at me like I'm crazy which only makes me laugh harder. "I'm here to protect you and hopefully train y'all a bit more." Her face scrunches up into an even more confused face. "Don't worry you'll understand soon enough." I give her one more kiss before pulling her up into my arms.

She leads us to my father's office. To think this is my home. The place I was taken from 18 years ago.. i could hear my mother's voice from behind the door sounding stressed which only made me even more nervous..

Paige knocks on the door. "Come in." My father says and the whole room goes quiet.

"Kaylee!" My mom runs over and wraps her arms around me in a tight hug. I let myself sink into her embrace. 'So this is what I've been missing out on for so many years.. to feel loved by my mother.' I think to myself.

She finally let's go and that's when everything be comes serious.

~Paige's pov~

I decide to be the first one to talk. "I've called us here for a meeting because my mother came to me. I should probably explain myself. My mother is Niki (i know y'all called it) my mother wanted me to get close to kaylee to get close to all of you and destroy you from the inside out but I told her no that I wouldny hurt my mate of her pack.. she wants you all to fall because she thinks that you all took the spot of Luna from her and because she blames you for the death of my father and her mate. When I informed her that I wouldn't be helping her with her evil plans she basically told me that Tom has an army and that we are more than out numbered, she is joining him in his quest to destroy you all." I look down at the floor expecting to be kicked out. I couldn't bring myself to look at my beatuful mate I know I would see hate and betrayal on her face.

Next thing I know I feel her arm snake around my waist pulling me closer to her. She places a finger under my chin making me look up at her. She smiles and kisses my lips "we will tall later when we are alone just know I love you." She whispers in my ear. I feel myself relax into when she starts to speak.

~Kaylee's pov~

Well I guess it's now my trun to talk.

"As you all know I haven't been her in a year well to be honest I haven't been here in 18 years haha but that's not the point. I was traveling around the world finding people who would back us up if it came to fighting. Many packs have issues with Tom and when they learned of my story were more than will to lend a helping hand. I was trained by many different packs and even roges that heard me out. The last place I was staying was in Ireland where I learned more than enough. We need to get the pack ready to defend themselves from the attack that's coming our way. We start Monday at 6am. We start with the young and work our way up to the war wolves. Contact everyone and give them the message." After that we all just talked about what all I have done and where I have been and what all I have seen. They we're amazed that I was able to do all this by myself. My father seemed to be very proud of me.

-later that night-

Paige and I are in my bed room laying with each other in my bed.

We talked about why she never told me about her mom and what happened to her father which was very hard for her. I told her about what Tom did to me. How he beat me, starved me, and the day ran how he tried to rape me.. "that's why I couldn't help but want to wait with you bc I was scared that I wouldn't be good enough for you." I sigh and lay flat on my back.

Paige rolls on top of my straddling my hips looking down into my eyes "kaylee don't ever feel as if you aren't good enough for me bc in the end of the day I will love you more than I could ever love another human or wolf or anything. You're my everything, my entire world. Please don't ever run away again because I need you." With that I pull her to me kisses her in a slow love filled kiss.
