This particular story is an Hobie x OC. Her name is Mindy.

When she arrives at work the first people to greet her are the Peters. This isn't everyone else hated her it's just she wasn't easy to joke with. Whether this was due to her inability to understand the joke or lacking a sense of humor herself wasn't clear but one thing was and that was the fact that Miguel wasn't the only unfunny employee.

But she didn't annoy anyone, however this didn't stop Hobie from annoying her, joined by Pavitr who often teased
her by doing "small" pranks like giving her a cupcake that had toothpaste as frosting, purposely breaking their web while swinging so it looked liked they fell, and louding rehearsing.

Hobie: Sup.

Hobie poked his head out from the shadows covering the ceiling, he was hanging upside down, his web tied around his leg. Mindy tried to resist the urge to grunt.

Mindy: *sigh* What do you want?

Hobie: Well good morning to you too, mate.

Mindy: It's evening now.

He hoped down, quickly picking up a 8-ball from one of the office room while Mindy looked through the bills for the Spider Society HQ.

Hobie: five past five. Whatcha doing? Still being boring?

Mindy: I'm working right now.

Hobie: K, so the answer is yes. Say, I've got a blinding idea for team moral--

Mindy: You cannot perform in the lobby.

Hobie: How bout' a round of drinks, on me.

Mindy: No.

Hobie: Why not?

Mindy: So far you and Pavitr have made a mess in any room that Mrs. Drew and Mr. O'Hara don't occupy.

Hobie: Ya but we cleaned it up.

Mindy: AFTER you were called out for it.

Hobie: How bout' we leave Pav outta it. Kid's just a kid.

She finally looked up from her desk of paperwork at him, a genuine look of understanding on her face.

Mindy: Agreed.

Hobie: Admit it. You were never bonkers in the first place.

Hobie gave her a quick glance up and down her frame. Most girls he had met all had the same body type but she was skinny with no curves and had he had been younger he wouldn't had given her a second glance but now...

Mindy: How do you figure that?

Hobie: 'Cause you always check on us.

Mindy: Because as your business investor it's my job to make sure you're financially secure for whatever happens.

Hobie: Y'know what'll make me secure?

Mindy: No but I have a feeling you'll tell--

Hobie: You and me, tomorrow afternoon.

Mindy: How would that help you?

Hobie: That's what the magic ball wants.

She looked down it to see the words "most likely"

Mindy: What did you ask it?

Hobie: "Is there any chance you'll go out on a date with me?"

Mindy holds out her hand and he hands her the ball.

Mindy: Will Hobart stop pranking me if I go out with him?

And she shook it.
