Author's Note

AHHH IT'S DONE! It's the shortest out of my ONC 2024 entries and I honestly didn't even think it would reach 20K words! One down, two more to go!

Thank you to everyone else who decided to pick up this story too! To all the silent readers and those who voted only once or twice. The thought that people want to pick up this story even though they're not in any book club is very heart-warming <3 I appreciate the time you took to get here!

This novella is, of course, in its first draft and needs some serious editing. Did you know Corvin's eye colour changes three times throughout the story? Green to blue and back to green XD If you have any constructive criticism to give please feel free to let me know! Once ONC is over and my brain has recovered, I plan to expand A Scent of Chaos a little bit. It will still remain a novella but I'll probably add around 5-10K words worth of extra plot and cute moments between Elvira and Corvin (maybe a few more rivalry moments too). This version was so short because I wanted to get all three of my entries finished in time.
