After Jocelyn left to stop the fighting we finished getting ready.
Kayla picked up her duffel bags and opened the door " let's go Gilly!" she grunted, struggling to carry all her bags. I picked up my backpack and tote.
While walking down the stairs, we heard voices from the courtyard, Oh great, it was Jax and Jack. "Prince, just because you wear a crown doesn't mean you make good decisions " yelled Jack, "Oh please, you made a deal with rump, let's use your great judgment" Jax shot back.
Kayla and I looked at each other. I just know that that's gonna start a fi— "EXCUSE ME?!" Jack . Here we go.. "HEY I'M JUST SAYING FACTS" Jax responded . "YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING PRINCE" Jack snarled. "H-hey guys could we just get alo-" Maxine started.
"OKAY FARM BOY GO BACK TO THE BARN" yelled Jax. When Kayla and I finally get to where most of the crew was watching Jax and Jack yell, they looked relieved. "OH GILLY THANK PATTYCAKES YOU'RE HERE" said Ollie, looking nervous "If you're here maybe Jax won't jump Jack" he said whispering the last part.
I rolled my eyes and walked over to where Jack and Jax were standing, Jax looked ready to cause some damage and I know he could if he wanted to. "Jax" I said, grabbing his wrist. He finally realized I was there, and some of the anger in his eyes faded away. " Of course pretty boy calms down when she gets here" I heard Jocyelyn whisper a bit too loudly. "Hey thief" he said almost guiltily. "I heard you all the way from the staircase" I told him softly.
He knows that I hate seeing him yell and get furious or even a little frustrated, for that matter. It all started after the war with Rump and Alva, and it's my job to calm him down, and he listens most of the time. Everyone teases us about it but sometimes it bothers me when they do, because even though we all recovered from that. It pains me to see my best friend hurt.
"I'm sorry he just-" Jax started. I shushed him , and out of the corner of my eye I saw Jack starting to open his mouth, so I shushed him too. "Jax, remember our deal" I said sternly.
" I know, I'm sorry" he said, I nodded and then I leaned over to whisper something "Also, explain what he said, cause if it's valid enough to make you get this angry then I'll help you get at him" I told him smiling. He laughed " Okay, but later".
I nodded to the others as a signal for them to separate from the huddle they had going on. Jack glared "That' still not fair though!" exclaimed Jack "She probably agrees with him, she obviously has favorites!" "No she doesn't!" Jax said "I'm just more likable". Jack snorted "likely story, I'm Princey over here flashed her the smile and winked or something"
Jax and I rolled our eyes "Guys he didn't-" I started "Nah Gilly, pretty sure there was some form of seducing from BOTH ends" Ollie said while Kayla nodded. I couldn't believe these people "I'll say" Jocelyn said "Princey was doing the puppy eye thing and Cobbler was nailing those lip bites" Everyone cracked up.
"Oh my gosh guys, drop it" I said. "There was no winking or anything" Jax agreed. "Fine but there's two things we've learned today" said Kayla "What?" "That Jax and Jack should not be anywhere near each other for this road trip, and that Jax and Gilly should remain together the whole time!" She finished clapping her hands like this was some sort of sparkly clothing item.
Then Ag and Hayley walked towards us "Hey guys! Sorry we were kind of late we were looking for Ag's hair brush..." she looked at all of us "Did we miss something?" She said. Ag nodded "Nope" I said quickly. "You sure because it looks like we did" said Ag. "Well you did miss the Great Jilly Seduction" said Jocelyn.
Ag and Hayley turned to Gilly.... here it comes
"EXPLAIN?!"

I did the only thing I could think of that would make them shut up
"JUST START THE CAR OLLIE!, YOU'RE DRIVING " I yelled, knowing I'd regret this later.
Everyone looked panicked and the yelling commenced...
