When Akeno turned the key in the lock to secure the doors of his beautiful penthouse behind them and as they crossed the threshold into his luxurious abode, Evelyn felt a sudden tightness in her chest, a mix of anxiousness and panic swirling within her. The idea of engaging in a casual encounter or one-night stand with a man outside the confines of a committed relationship was alien to her, yet there she stood, on the brink of having an unconventional liaison with Hiro Akeno—challenging her own boundaries and preconceptions. The billionaire had made her break so many rules and do so many things she otherwise would've never thought of doing.

As his fingers entwined with hers, he led her up the tall staircase of his penthouse, towards what she presumed to be his personal sanctuary and bedroom. Evelyn's mind buzzed with a flurry of doubts.

'Am I doing the right thing?' she silently questioned herself, grappling with uncertainties that lingered in her mind. She had no answer to that.

Nonetheless, her desire for him burned fervently and remained constant, erasing her internal worries against emotional entanglements. She reminded herself, 'Remember not to involve feelings, Eve. You'll be fine. When Rome, do as the Romans do.'

If people were able to have one-night stands to simply satisfy their lustful desires without catching feelings, then she believed she could do it too.

However, unbeknownst to the young woman, the billionaire was on the brink of transforming her life forever. Delicate linen curtains swayed gently in the breeze wafting through the open balcony door, infusing the room with a serene chill. A king-sized bed, dressed in luxuriously soft white linens, looked inviting, while an adjacent door led to a vast closet.

Approaching her from behind, Akeno tenderly grasped her shoulders, sending a shiver down Evelyn's spine as their bodies made contact. Leaning in, he placed a gentle kiss on the curve of her neck, prompting her to close her eyes, savoring the sensation of his closeness and warmth.

"Shall we freshen up, my dear?" he inquired, catching her off guard.

Turning to face him, Evelyn met his gaze, puzzled by his unexpected suggestion.

"I'm quite sensitive to scents due to my hyperosmia," he explained with a gentle smile, cradling her face in his hands. "Let's rid ourselves of the lingering smells of smoke and alcohol."
