Mart stared at the ceiling wall for at least 20 seconds, daydreaming for what seemed to be hours for him, just gazing into the darkness, which was pretty unusual for a child, beside they would most likely be afraid of the dark, causing them to immediatly go into "sleep mode".

But this wasn't the case for Matt, his faith in God was strong, and as a kid, that's like Captain America guarding your bed from that "monster on your closet".

He suddenly heard a tapping on the window, which had caused him to flinch in surprise. The tapping kept going, and going and going.

*тαρ, тαρ, тαρ, тαρ, тαρ*

The noise trebeld on, and on and on. Then a gust of wind swirled agaist the window, and the tapping grew more intense.

*тαρ!, тαρ!, тαρ!, тαρ!, тαρ!*

Matt was frozen.

But then he remembered what his mother told him in church that morning:

"Remember Matt, Jesus protects you!"

Matt knew he was scared, but he had to be strong.

He had to trust Jesus.

"Jesus protects me..." Matt repeated to himself as he got half-way out of his covers to reach the window, which was covered by curtains. His hand was just at the curtain, ready to pull out back to face his demons.

"Jesus protects me..."

His hands were now on the curtains, and with a slow gap of breath, pulled the curtains back. Upon the realization of his fears, he let out a deep and long sigh. It was the big oak tree outside; it's benches teetering up, down, and against the window pane.

Matt immediately smiled and went back under his covers, closing his eyes.
