The next morning you awake, and your phone has ten notifications. All of them are from Val.
'Good Morning, Vesper'
'Is today a busy day for you?'
'I work until really late tonight.'
'Are you awake?'
'Are you still sleeping?'
'If you're not busy meet me at xxx-xxx'
'I'll still be working but, it'd be nice to see you there.'
'Who knows, maybe I could even get you a job to work with me.'
'Are you still asleep?'
"Are you ignoring me?'
Each message was sent one right after the other. You hadn't realized how late you were for work until you read those messages. You are three hours late for work. You very quickly get changed and ready for the day texting Val.
'Yeah, I'll be there!'
You quickly go to work excitedly, waiting to meet up with Val after work. Vox forgave you for being super late and even helped you today. All of your coworkers seemed to notice your joyful mood and all seemed to treat you better as well. Not long after your shift ends you go to where Val is filming. You walk in and hear a very famous voice.
"Do you worst... Daddy~"
You hear the voice of Angel Dust a famous porn star. You instantly realize why Vox hesitated to tell you about Val's work. 'Maybe I should leave!' you think to yourself. Unfortunately, you don't think fast enough. You've already caught Val's eye.
"Vesper, Darling. Come in, take a seat" He brings you over to a soft fluffy sofa that's near the filming site. "I didn't think you'd make it~" He smiles and brushes some strands of hair behind your ear. You laugh nervously, "Yeah, I woke up pretty late, Vox didn't seem too upset by it though... so, I've got that going for me.." you speak gratefully for Vox's kindness. "Well, relax and enjoy some behind-the-scenes, yeah? I'll be back shortly~" He walks off and calls action again.
You found this whole situation awkward but Val is acting like it's normal so maybe you're overthinking into it. Once filming ends Val walks towards you. "Oh, Vesper~" He calls out to you as he approaches. "Yes, Valentino?" You play along with his tone, extending the end of your words to match his. "It's been a long day, let's go get something to drink~" he wraps an arm around your shoulders and walks out with you.
You two approach a bar of Valentino's picking. You make it to a pink table with red cushioned seats.
"What would you like to drink~?" He asks as you two sit next to each other. "Oh, uhm... I don't drink.." you respond. "Well, there's no better day to start than with me~" his arm remains around you, barely resting on the seat's backing.
Val quickly gets two bottles of expensive wine for the two of you. He pours you a glass and places it directly in front of you. You watch as he sips from his glass and then looks at you expectantly. You've never felt more pressure in your life, normally you'd say no and tell him to leave you alone about it, but there's something about him that makes you just want more.
You grab the glass of wine and take a sip, this wine tastes nothing like any other wine you've ever tried. It's sweet and smooth, not bitter or sour like most wines. Val smiles as you sip from your wine.
"This is really good." You're still shocked by the taste of this wine. Valentino smiles and nods. "That's why I picked it, only the best for my Vesper~" his words almost stun you.
'His Vesper' you repeat in your mind. You can't help but smile as you sip from your wine again.
The two of you continue to converse your heart fluttering every time he says your name. 'Vesper,' the name he proclaimed fit you so well. Sure, it isn't your actual name but it's the name he gave you.
"Val, I'm glad you invited me to your work today but, why? Why did you invite me so suddenly?" As happy as it made you the thought of it was still quite suspicious he never wanted to spend more time with you before, so what changed his mind? "Ah, well. I wanted to spend more time with our new recruit of course~" His words beckoning for belief.
"You know, Vox only has you working on screen because of your looks right~?" He leans closer to you causing your heart to speed up and your face to warm. "I did know that..." Vox did tell you that exact thing when he told you what your job entailed. "Hmm...~ You know, you're good looks could be used for another type of television~" His tone is enthralled and a wicked smile has formed on his face.
You know exactly what he's implying and don't enjoy the sound of it at all. "Oh... uhm, I'm not interested in filming anything like that.." You speak awkwardly yet, firmly. You were not looking for that type of job and would rather not be involved with it at all.
Val's eyes narrow in irritation as he backs away from you and sips his wine. He doesn't say anything to you which makes you even more upset and confused. You didn't do anything wrong why is he upset? Did you hurt his feelings? You didn't mean to come off negatively about his work it's just not something you're interested in.
"No, I get it! You hate my field of work you hate everything I make, I get it!" Val speaks quickly and harshly. "I didn't mean it like that!" You needed to correct yourself even when you hadn't done anything wrong. Val gets up and begins to walk away angrily. You don't want him to be upset at you. 'Maybe if I just do one.' You think to yourself. "Val, wait! I'll do it!"
Summary: You and Valentino got a drink together, and you agreed to be in one of his movies!!
