Chapter 13

The end of college is already approaching. There are only a few more weeks left. It's only the second day of the week and I'm already tired. But I'm fine because I'm next to Lisa. As soon as I saw her, I immediately felt better. The bell rang for the end of class, now it was lunch time. I am starving.

'Let's all go to the canteen together and have something to eat.'

Yeah I'm starving.. Let's go Lisa! I called her but she didn't hear me. She was just looking at her phone and texting with someone. Lisaaa!

"Hey Jen. I'm sorry for not replying to you. Look, my brother just texted me. I need to go right away."

But why? What is happening Lisa?! Why all of sudden?

"Listen, my grandparents need our help with something. I'm going to Thailand for few days or one week, I'm still not sure. My brother has already booked the tickets and we are leaving in two hours. I have to go immediately."

Oh Lisa that's really all of sudden. But okay I understand, I want you to take care and be careful.

"Of course I will. No worries Jen."

And text me when you get there and when you have time.

"I will Jen, and you too. Take care when I'm not around. Joy, take care of her. Don't let her go home alone please."

'Okay Lisa, no worries. I will take good care of her.'

"I really need to go now. Please make sure teachers know that."

Yes Lisa, I will. She nodded and the second when she wanted to leave, I pulled her hand. You forgot something.

"Oh gosh I'm so sorry Jen." The same second she hugged me so tight. And since the classroom was empty, only the two of us and Joy were there. Lisa kissed my forehead.

"I'm gonna miss you there."

Me too, I'm gonna miss you so much.

'Oh come on.. I'm here too.' Lisa just smiled as she kissed my forehead once again.

"I really need to go now. I'll text you when I can. See you Jen!"

See you soon Lisa!! Lisa ran out of the classroom in the same second. I really hope it's nothing serious and everything is fine.

'I hope everything is okay.'

Yes me too Joy. Let's grab some food now, I'm really starving.

'Let's go Jennie.' Joy and I took our food and sat in a free seat in the canteen. Today's menu was not bad at all, but I lost my appetite because of Lisa's sudden departure.

I'm not hungry anymore. I lost my appetite.

'Come on Jen you need to eat. You've lost a lot of weight lately, I noticed. I promised Lisa that I would look after you while she was gone. So eat now and don't make me angry.'

You're right, we made her a promise. But I already miss her Joy.. What is happening to me? I never felt like this..

'You should know that and not me. That's all how you feel about her and about each other. You need to know about your real feelings Jen.'

I do love her Joy but sometimes I'm too closed off and I am too shy. And not ready to try other things with her, you know what I mean... Before she wanted us you know... But I wasn't fucking ready, I was too shy Joy..
