The girl walked down the stairs with a yawn, walking into the kitchen, seeing her siblings already eating, her father was reading the newspaper, and her mother was leaning against the counter.
"I woke you up thirty minutes ago." said Thalia, looking towards her eldest daughter.
"And I stared at the ceiling for twenty minutes, before getting out of bed and putting on my clothes." said Lyra, grabbing a plate of waffles and sitting down at the dining table.
Lyra was starting her last year at Hogwarts, and over the years she had made lots of friends. In her second year, she had gotten into the Gryffindor Quidditch team as Chaser.
She had two best friends, Nymphadora Tonks and Charlie Weasley, and the three of them got into a lot of trouble sometimes.
"I'm going to put everything in the car already." said Owen, getting up and walking out of the kitchen.
After finishing breakfast, Lyra ran back upstairs and into the bathroom, grabbing the toothbrush and toothpaste.
She brushed her teeth, before going back downstairs and putting on her shoes.
"You have five minutes to get in the car." said Thalia, throwing a jacket at Ezekiel.
"How late did we wake up? Normally we can still go on the swings." said Celestia.
"We woke up twenty minutes later than we normally do." said Thalia.
Lyra finished tying her shoes and walked out of the door, opening the car door and waiting for her sister to get in first before she got in and closed the door.
Lyra put on her seatbelt before Celestia kicked her and Lyra stared at her younger sister, who just smiled at her.
"To the station, we go." said Owen, pulling out of the driveway.
The whole drive to the station, Celestia and Ezekiel were kicking each other, while Lyra was looking out the window.
Eventually, the car stopped at the station, and they got out, Thalia walking away before returning with three trolleys.
They put everything on the trolleys, before entering the station.
"If I just wait till the clock hits eleven, will I still be able to go through the barrier?" asked Lyra.
"And you wonder why you always have to go first." said Thalia.
Lyra smiled and went through the barrier first, followed by Ezekiel and Owen, and Thalia and Celestia going last.
The train stood there as smoke from the engine drifted over the heads of the chattering crowd, while cats of every color wound here and there between their legs.
Owls hooted to one another in a disgruntled sort of way over the babble and the scraping of heavy trunks.
They walked towards the end of the platform, where the Weasley and Tonks family were.
"But imagine-"
"We're not buying you guys skateboards to skate around Hogwarts with." said Andromeda, looking at her daughter.
"Imagine showing up to class with a skateboard, that would be so cool." said Fred.
Lyra put her stuff and her sibling's stuff on the train before jumping back onto the platform.
