Avengers - Death (pt.2)

Everything had exploded into chaos as I heard screams. The feeling of death intensified so suddenly it scared me. I looked around, to my left there were burning towers of flames, slowly creeping towards me. To my right there was piles and piles of rubble. I couldn't even tell where I was in the tower. I saw a small earpiece on the ground and put it in my ear, hoping to be able to contact someone, anyone. 

"Hello, this is YN, does anyone hear me?" I shouted into the air. 

The feeling of death intensified by the moment, I started to become afraid that someone had died. I hadn't experienced having someone I had a connection to die yet. Nat was close to dying, but she hadn't truly died, unless she just had because of the explosion. 

"Hello? Everybody, get out quick!" I heard Steve shout into the comms which was responded with grunts. 

I hear a shout from Rhodey in my ear, "Mayday, mayday! Does anybody copy? We're in the lower level, it's flooding!"

I tell him I'm coming and I start making my way down the rubble to the lower level. I have nothing to lose yet, I don't have a life created for me, so I might as well save the lives of people who are loved. I finally get to the leakage and realize there is a huge peice of rubble covering the second level, so I try and lift it. I expect the rubble to be insanely heavy, but I'm surprised when I lift it with ease. 

Bruce, Scott, and Rhodey all run out soaking from under the rubble. We try and find our way up, as we climb through the fires up to the lightest place we can see. Rocket has a huge flashlight on him which helps us very much. I can feel the panic and the hearts beating in the air as everybody searches their way out of the mess. Even Rocket's usually loud annoying personality is quiet right now. 

We finally get out into the light to see Steve standing, about to face an entire army. At this point almost everybody is out of the rubble as Steve, Thor, and Tony begin to attack Thanos. But with no luck, they each get hit down. The feeling of death continues to become heavier and heavier as the second pass by. We run forwards to join the men in their fight against Thanos. We all know we don't stand a chance, but if we're going to die either way, might as well die fighting. 

I start to run forwards to join the fight but I'm blasted backwards and I fly back into the destroyed compound. I hit my head and everything turns to darkness. 

"W-what is this?" I ask into the dark void before me. 

A man suddenly appears before me, he looks young in age, but weary in his mind. He begins to speak in a deep and daunting voice. 

"Hello YN." I swear I can recognize his voice. 

I start to respond but he cuts me off and continues, "You were the first one, after all these years." 

I didn't know how to respond to that, I was very confused on what the oddly attractive man meant. 

"Oh, you naive being, well, I guess you're technically a human now." He continued, his deep voice echoing throughout the dark void. 

He waited a couple seconds before he said his next words, which shook me to the core, "I'm Dillionas." 

My entire life, the thousands of years I had lived, I had always feared Dillionas, and always thought he was a horrible person for enslaving people and turning them into his death slaves. Something I had just realized after thousands of years of fearing and avoiding Dillionas, behind all the power and fear, he was just a being, a raw, painful, pure being. But he didn't truly deserve to even be alive, just like me, he was a man with too much hate in his heart, but with no place to put it.
