"CANDY, that's what I think of," Lloyd answered, somehow going through a sentence without stuttering in front of her. His friends were giggling to themselves, trying their best to hold back a full blown laugh.
"That's... almost the same to what others have said," Everlynne muttered, sounding disinterested now.
"It's different though!" Y/n tried to keep a positive attitude, but her best friend gave her the stare that said 'really?'
"Um... could I ask why specifically?" Y/n asked, sounding awkward and honestly, she just wanted to talk to him a tinybit more.
Translation: She wanted him to talk as much as he wanted.
"I— uh," Lloyd quickly glanced over to Kai for help as Kai took the signal right away.
"Well ya see here, this guy has a huge sweet tooth!" Kai exclaimed, wrapping an arm around Lloyd's shoulder as he grinned
'Not that kind of help!"
Y/n tilted her head slightly to the side, asking for Lloyd to elaborate on it more so she can at least get enough details.
"So... um, candy makes me uh— how do I put this?"
Oh god, he was stuttering again.
"It makes me happy? I mean, I love it, a lot."
'Probably not as much as my feeling towards you.'
Lloyd had focused too much on his current thought that he shook his head fast, yelling at himself for thinking like that. It was so cheesy he hated it.
Everlynne, y/n, and his friends looked at him with confusion mixed with concern.
His face flushed.
"I'm either assuming you're saying 'no it doesn't make me happy and forget what I said earlier' or you're shaking your head for some other reasons?" Y/n questioned, trying her best to stay polite.
"No no!! I was just—"
"The guy loves candy and it makes him happy, got it— y/n let's get going." Everlynne got bored as she dragged y/n away by her arm.
"But i'm not done yet!" she protested. She really wanted to talk more to him.
"I don't care."
"Eveeee!"
In the end, Lloyd lowered his head as he sulked to himself, still feeling embarassed at his own thoughts and how much he probably looked like a fool to her.
"I suck at this..."
"Sorry, dude," Kai tried to comfort him, patting his back.
For a moment Lloyd was silent and Kai immediately thought he might've been just reflecting to himself.
"This was all your fault!" Lloyd suddenly exclaimed to him.
"WHAT!?"

★ lol i said i would take a break but i wanted to write this chapter (dw i was motivated to do this!!)
★ I got two months of school left so hopefully im gonna go on some sort of writing streak during summer break
★ im so much more motivated to write this book than game of destiny😭
