chapter 2

Cyan and Purple entered cafeteria and saw yellow was sat at a table, half asleep.
Cyan went over to get something to eat but purple sat next to yellow "hello again" purple smiled softly and yellow sprang awake, looking startled but calmed down once she noticed it was purple
"oh, hello!" Yellow turned to face purple. She looked tired
"you look tired" purples ear twitched slightly, she looked consirned for yellow and purple wondered if yellow was evan sleeping
"just a long day is all, I'm fine" yellow yawned. Cyan had gotten something to eat and sat at a different table than purple and yellow
"so where you the one who killed lime?" purple lowered her voice so no one else, especially cyan, could hear them
"maybe..." yellow whispered in response. She wasn't sure how purple would react since she was friends with cyan and he was a crewmate. "nice" purple chuckled, her voice returning to normal
"why is cyan all the way over there?" yellow nodded towards cyan who was eating at a table on the other side of cafeteria
"he probably didn't want to bother us, he tends to sit alone wile eating... when he dose eat that is" purple shrugged, she didn't seem worried about it
"not on my watch..." yellow got up, a determined look on her face as she sat next to cyan
"hello cyan!" She purred but cyan froze and didn't respond
"cyan..? You ok?" Yellow tilted her head slightly but cyan nodded quickly, still not talking
"I can go if you like..?" Yellow's ears went back a little but this time cyan didn't respond in any way. Purple came over but didn't sit down. yellow moved away and sat at a different table, purple followed yellow and sat next to her.
"it's not you, I think he just likes sitting alone at times" purple sighed and went on "he evan dose it to me" she glanced over to cyan but turned back to yellow, she didn't respond and a small tear fell from her eye "what's wrong?" purple tilted her head and moved closer
"s-sorry... just my thaughts" yellow looked away
"it's getting late, I'll cya tomorrow?" Purple stood up, her visor seeming emotionless
"sure..." yellow didn't turn to see her. Purple stretched before going to her room. cyan finished eating and noticed purple was gone "p-purple..?!" He called quietly, panicing. Yellow got up and left but cyan followed her after putting everything away "hey yellow..?" Cyan's voice was still quiet, almost a whisper. Yellow didn't hear him as she continued to security. She sat in the corner of the room
"am I a bother..? Am I usless..." yellow mumbled to herself, thinking out loud and started crying. She still didn't notice cyan, he had stopped at the door "yellow..? Are you ok?" His voice was shakey now. yellow looked up at him and stopped crying
"I'm fine" she sounded as if nothing had happened "are you sure? did I do something..?" Cyan tilted his head slightly, consirn filled his as yellow repeated she was fine
"I'm fine, you didn't do anything" yellow got up and went over to cyan. her ears weren't back anymore. He was small compared to her or really any of the other crewmates
"sorry I didn't respond earlier... I froze, I wasn't sure what to say" he turned to the side, away from yellow
"it's alright" yellow smiled. There was silence for awhile since no-one else was awake
"do you know where purple went?" Cyan broke the silence that fell over the the ship. yellow shook her head and cyan turned back to her, seeming rather nervous
"I can help you find her?" Yellow offered but cyan quickly shook his head "she probably went to bed, I don't want to bother her" cyan's ears went back and he seemed sad, he always stuck with purple since some of the other crew bullied him for being small.
"I'm here if you need me" yellow softly smiled
"can I stay with you then..? Just for the night!" He asked nervously, the words catching in his throat like thorns, only coming out as quiet whispers "if you don't mind!" Cyan added quickly
"of course!" Yellow's voice was soft and quiet since it was night. cyan's tail wagged slowly hearing yellow's response
"are you going to stay here?" Cyan knew there was only one chair in security but he wouldn't mind if he had to sit on the ground. as long as he didn't have to be alone
"is there anywhere you want to go?" Yellow knew security wasn't the best place to stay with two of them and only one chair
"I usually go to communications... I like to listen to the static. it helps me sleep sometimes" cyan was starting to relax but he was still a little nervous. it showed with every twitch of his ear
"we can go there if you want!" Yellow smiled, she seemed cheerful and energetic despiteit being late.
"o-ok" cyan waited for yellow to go out first and followed her closely, heading to communications
"what do you usually do at night?"
