On a warm, sunny day at Nijisanji University, the campus was alive with vibrant energy. Students hurried through the pathways, chatting animatedly with friends and enjoying the perfect weather. The sprawling lawns were dotted with groups lounging on blankets, basking in the sunshine.
Inside the bustling cafeterias, the clatter of trays and the hum of conversation created a lively backdrop as students lined up to grab their lunches. The smell of freshly cooked food mingled with the sounds of laughter and casual banter. Meanwhile, others opted for a quieter retreat indoors, where they savored packed meals while catching up on assignments or simply enjoying a peaceful break from the outdoor hustle.
In one classroom, the atmosphere was a mix of curiosity and anticipation. The room was filled with NijiEN members, each sitting with varying degrees of interest as Shu stood at the front, holding a white sheet of paper.
"Hey everyone!" Shu called out, his voice carrying a note of excitement. "The principal just sent something our way. We'll be having a Nijisanji Uni Festival in three months!"
The room fell silent, the news catching everyone's attention. Shu unfolded the paper with a flourish, continuing, "Each club needs to prepare a presentation or any activity, as long as it's within school rules. So, start brainstorming and get ready to showcase what we've got!"
A buzz of conversation erupted among the NijiEN members, their faces lighting up with ideas and enthusiasm. Some exchanged eager glances, already plotting their contributions, while others started discussing potential themes and activities.
"I've got a few ideas already," Ike said, his eyes sparkling with inspiration.
"Me too!" Pomu chimed in, a hint of excitement in her voice.
Shu smiled at the growing energy in the room. "Great! Let's make this festival memorable. We'll need creativity, teamwork, and lots of enthusiasm. We've got three months to plan, so let's get to it!"
The members, energized by the announcement, began to organize their thoughts and plans, their discussions filling the room with a buzz of creative possibilities. The prospect of the Nijisanji Uni Festival sparked a wave of excitement, and everyone was eager to contribute to what promised to be a highlight of the academic year.
"Write your suggestions on a piece of paper, then roll it up and place it inside this box," Pomu explained, distributing slips of paper to everyone. "Once everyone's done, Shu will pick one out from the box to decide our club's presentation."
Alban raised an eyebrow as he watched Mysta scribble on his paper. "What's on your mind?" he asked, curiosity piqued.
"I wrote 'Horror House,'" Mysta replied with a grin, clearly excited about the idea.
Alban's eyes lit up. "That's a great idea! I'm going to write that down too!" He quickly wrote the same suggestion on his own paper, his enthusiasm evident.
"I was thinking of something like Mario Kart," Luca suggested, his voice filled with hope as he shared his idea.
The room fell into a brief silence as everyone processed Luca's suggestion. Vox shook his head gently, a thoughtful frown crossing his face. "That's a cool idea, but it might be a bit tricky to set up here at school."
Luca's shoulders slumped slightly, a hint of disappointment in his eyes. "Yeah, I guess you're right," he said, trying to mask his disappointment.
Pomu, noticing the shift in mood, stepped in with a supportive tone. "How about we keep brainstorming and see if there's a way to adapt your idea? Maybe we can incorporate some elements of it into our final presentation."
The group nodded in agreement, their spirits lifted by Pomu's encouragement. They continued to jot down their ideas, the atmosphere charged with collaborative energy.
On the other side of the room, a group gathered around, brainstorming their own ideas for the festival.
"I think a maid or butler café could be really fun," Finana suggested, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
"That's a fantastic idea!" Aster exclaimed, his excitement palpable. "I love the thought of dressing up in maid outfits! It'd be such a unique experience."
Kyo, looking a bit unsure, raised his hand and asked, "Can I just be the cashier or something?"
Aster shook his head with a grin. "No way, Kyo! Everyone should be in character. We're going all in with this theme!"
Kyo chuckled, a hint of disappointment mingling with acceptance. "Alright, alright. I guess I'll figure out a role that fits."
"We could even add some special touches," Finana continued, her mind racing with ideas.
"Maybe themed drinks and snacks, and some fun activities for the customers?"
"Definitely!" Aster agreed, already picturing the scene. "We can make it really immersive with decorations and maybe even a little performance."
The group buzzed with excitement as they discussed details and assigned roles, their enthusiasm growing with each new idea. The prospect of transforming their vision into reality energized them, and they began planning their café concept with a shared sense of purpose and creativity.
As everyone finished writing and dropped their suggestions into the box, Shu prepared to make the draw, adding an air of anticipation to the moment.
With the box filled with ideas and excitement buzzing around, Shu reached in, ready to select the winning concept for their club's festival presentation.
"This is the moment we've all been waiting for!" Pomu declared dramatically, her voice filled with anticipation. Shu chuckled and dramatically pulled a piece of paper from the box.
"Please, maid café," Finana whispered fervently, her hands clasped together in a hopeful prayer.
"Horror house! Horror house!" Mysta and Alban thought simultaneously, their faces a mixture of hope and nervous excitement as they awaited the result.
Shu paused for effect, his eyes scanning the room to build suspense. "Our presentation is..." he trailed off, drawing out the moment for maximum drama.
"Please!" Aster mumbled under his breath, his eyes wide with pleading.
"A MUSICAL!" Shu finally announced with a dramatic flourish.
The room fell silent as everyone processed the announcement. Gasps of surprise and astonishment filled the air. Finana's hopeful expression turned to one of stunned disbelief, while Mysta and Alban stared at each other in shock, their horror house idea momentarily forgotten.
Aster's jaw dropped, his face a mixture of surprise and concern. "A musical?" he echoed, still grappling with the news.
Kyo looked around, trying to gauge the reactions of his teammates. "Well, that's definitely a challenge," he said, trying to stay positive.
Pomu, breaking the silence, clapped her hands together with renewed enthusiasm. "A musical sounds like a lot of fun! We can make it really unique and memorable."
The group slowly began to rally around the idea, their initial shock transforming into excitement. Finana, Mysta, and Alban started exchanging ideas about potential songs and themes, while Aster and Kyo discussed how to incorporate their café concept into the musical.
With a new sense of determination, the team began to embrace the challenge, their creativity sparked by the unexpected twist. The room buzzed with renewed energy as they set to work, their imaginations fired up by the prospect of bringing their musical vision to life.
