"Minho!" shouted Hongki, running back into the gym the next morning at an unusually high speed.
"Oh hyung you're back?" greeted Minho who was lifting weights just like yesterday and every day before that.
"You were right! We're gay!" exclaimed Hongki, getting a few questioning looks from the other gym-goers who weren't already staring at him after his sprint.
"YESS! HIGH FIVE!" said Minho and they high fived with immense passion and strength from weightlifting every day.
"What happened?" Minho asked after they had calmed down a bit and started lifting weights again.
"After what you two said I really thought about it... and looked at the photo again. He's hot." Hongki stated matter-of-factly, "And it made me realise that the tension we've had all these years wasn't because we're rivals it was all romantic."
"Wow that's great!" said Minho, encouraging Hongki to continue his story.
"Yeah and so I called him and asked to go for drinks and he immediately agreed. Then I told him about the whole if a rivalry lasts longer than seven years then you are no longer rivals you are gay thing and confessed that I thought I might like him and he just laughed!"
"What?" Minho asked, shocked at Yonghwa's unexpected reaction.
"It turns out he's liked me this whole time! For over a decade! And I didn't know anything!" Hongki exclaimed.
"No way!" Minho reacted.
"And then he kissed me!" Hongki added.
"How was it?" Minho asked.
"It was amazing, like everything had been leading up to this moment for years!"
"That's amazing!" said Minho, pulling Hongki in for a quick hug.
"The rivalry to gay theory never lies." said Key who once again appeared from behind Hongki.
"Hang on though, if he's liked me since we've known each other, that means it was before we were rivals and also before seven years of us being rivals!" Hongki realised.
"Poor man." Minho muttered, feeling empathetic for Yonghwa's years of suffering in silence.
Key looked perplexed.. he couldn't believe that the theory had been wrong!
"But!" said Key, "He liked you, but did you like him all this time? The seven year rule could have got you."
"I think I may have just been an idiot this whole time. I can't believe I mistook liking him for thinking of him as my rival..." Hongki confessed.
"Well good for you two." said Key, "I guess you were just gay this whole time."
"Yeah I guess we were."
