Upon entering the manor Victor ran up and hugged me, I smiled and hugged him back. Soon hearing another pair of little footsteps, I quickly stood up, pushing Victor behind me, and took my gun out of its holster, pointing it in the direction of the footsteps. It was a small girl around Victor's age with short black hair, green eyes, and a green hair clip in her hair.
Her eyes teared up quickly and she started wailing, I quickly put my gun away and ran to her, kneeling and wiping her tears gently. "I'm so sorry to scare you little one. What's your name, little Milashka." I asked gently as I moved some of her hair behind her ear.
She sniffed and wiped her eyes, "My name is Sally Black." She said lowly.
I raised my eyebrow, "Do you know someone named Sebastian Black?" I asked with interest.
She smiled widely, her whole demeanor changed at the mention of his name. "Yes! That's my older brother! Are you friends with him?" She asked cheerfully.
I smiled and nodded, "Yes me and your brother are friends. Are you friends with my brother?" I asked as Victor walked up next to Sally.
She smiled and hugged him tightly, "Vic and I are best friends! That mean bully was making fun of him so I ran up and punched him in his face and me and Victor hung out all day!" She said, pushing her arm out in a punching motion as she had Victor still in her other arm.
I smiled and chuckled before standing up, "Well, thank you, Sally, for protecting my little brother and being his friend." She smiled proudly and nodded.
Victor stood up properly and grabbed Sally's hand, "Come on Sally. Let's go play in my room!" Sally smiled and ran up the stairs, hand in hand with Victor. I sighed and went to my room, once in I changed out of my uniform and into a grey dress shirt with a black tight skirt, fishnets, and a black corset vest.
I was struggling with putting on the vest when Ivan walked in, "Uhh- do you need help?" He asked with a chuckle.
I sighed, "No. I can do it." I said with strain. He chuckled and changed out of his uniform into black sweatpants and a grey, turtle-neck compression shirt.
He sighed and walked over to me, grabbing the strings and pulling them, about to tie them. "Tighter," I said. He pulled it tighter and waited a moment, "A little tighter." He pulled once more and I nodded before he tied it neatly.
He was walking out of the room, "Thank you, Ivan," I said lowly.
He turned his head and smiled, "You're welcome, M'Lady."
I rolled my eyes and walked over to my bed, putting my weapon holster back on my torso and thighs. I walked past Victor's room before turning around and poking my head in. "Hey Sally, how are you getting home? Do we need to drop you off soon?"
She looked at me before looking back down and continued coloring. "No that's okay, my brother will be here soon if he's already been told by Mama that I didn't come home." She said casually.
"O-Oh, okay then," I said, already imagining the misunderstanding thoughts going through Sebastian's head. I walked downstairs, fixing my sleeves and hair before the door was suddenly kicked open.
I quickly pulled my gun out of its holster and had it pointed directly at the intruder's head. They were masked and holding two katanas, the way he lowered them slowly and stood up a bit, I could tell it was Sebastian.
I sighed and put my gun back into its holster, "I could have killed you, you idiot.."
Sebastian took his mask down and sheathed his swords, "D-did you kidnap my little sister?" He asked with confusion.
"What? No! She came home with my little brother, they are friends." I said as I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest. Sebastian looked me up and down quickly before looking away and clearing his throat. Valravn and Ivan quickly ran into the entrance and looked back and forth at me and Sebastian. Victor and Sally then quickly ran down the stairs doing the same as Ivan and Valravn, only to have Babooshka and Father walk in the room.
"Oh for heaven's sake... Everyone disperse! The intrusion was just a friend looking for his little sister." Everyone except for Ivan, Victor, and Sally left the room with no questions. Ivan leaned against a wall, playing with his knife while glaring at Sebastian.
I sighed and rubbed the bridge of my nose. "Sorry for the misunderstanding Val," Sebastian said as he picked Sally up.
"Oh, it's fine. I would've done the exact same thing, except, with guns, not swords." I said with a chuckle. He smiled and looked at me softly.
Sally leaned closer to Sebastian's ear. "Bubba, I like this lady, you should marry her, and then I'll get to play with Victor forever!" She whispered with a snicker.
He laughed, "Okay well then, would it be okay for you to come over to my house tomorrow for a play date for the little ones?" He asked.
I thought for a moment, "Yeah, I should be able to come, I can text you if something comes up." I said.
He smiled, "Okay, can I see your phone, I'll give you my number." He said as he held his hand out slightly.
I unlocked my phone, went to the contacts, and handed it to him. He typed a bit on it and handed it back to me, "I put my number and my address on the contact. I'll see you tomorrow then." He said with a smile. I smiled and nodded, he waved and left before I closed the doors.
After a few hours of doing whatever we pleased, now coming up to just laying on my bed scrolling through my phone, wearing a black crop top and black girl boxers. I lay on my back with my arms up holding my phone with my earbuds in, listening to music, and stalking enemies and rivals through social media. I was so engrossed that I didn't realize Ivan was calling my name till he grabbed my legs and pulled me towards him.
I moved my phone to the side slightly and took one earbud out, my legs around his waist as he was still holding them. "What do you want Ivan?" I said sternly as I continued stalking people.
He sighed, propped his hands on the bed to the sides of my torso, and leaned over me. "I don't trust this Sebastian guy. He's too nice for someone in a criminal organization."
I didn't move, or even look at him slightly, "Trust me, heirs in criminal organizations always have more to them, but to other heirs, they are either really nice or enemies. No in-between, no alternate motives." I said, now putting my phone down.
Ivan sighed and leaned closer, "I just don't want you to trust somebody and you end up getting hurt because of them."
I rolled my eyes and put my arms over his shoulders, pulling him down on top of me. "I'll be fine," I said while holding him tightly.
He looked up at me and then back down at my neck, he was hesitating. I heard footsteps and quickly got up, Babooshka entered my room shortly after. She looked back at forth at me and Ivan.
"Valkyrie. Come." She said with a flick of her fingers. I quickly put on some shorts and a sweater and followed her into her office.
"I finally have some jobs for you. The targets go to the academy so it should be easy to find them. One of the targets we know nothing about so just keep your eyes peeled for any people suddenly trying to get close to you. The other is a boy in a lower-class organization, you've heard of them. We don't know the boy's name but he has baby-blue hair from his recent pictures." She said as she slid the boy's pictures toward me.
"I know him, Valravn is friends with him. So it will be easy to kill him. Although.. his organization is so low in power and ranking that there is no need to even threaten them." I said while putting the pictures down.
"Indeed, although due to their persuasion skills, they are gaining powerful allies that are enemies with us, and the current leader, the boy's mother, is deathly ill. I wouldn't be surprised if she dropped dead, so just to make sure, kill the boy and we won't have to worry about them." She said sternly.
"Yes Ma'am," I said with a slight bow and returned to my room and drifted off to sleep, waiting for the next morning.
