We closed our eyes to express the same wish, and we brought our lips together to act on it immediately. - Shuttle_river

BILEL'S POV:

"Thank you again for lunch and for your hospitality," I greeted Diana with a kiss on the hand.

"Thank you for your kindness; I only wish the best for your future," she replied.

I smiled at her and glanced at Benedetta; I've already got her.

I said goodbye to the sisters and waited for Benedetta to say goodbye to her mother. "Remember, Beni, send me a message as soon as you arrive," her mother reminded her.

She nodded, giving her mother a kiss and saying, "Don't worry, I'll let you know."

"Diana exclaimed as we walked away, "Be careful!"

"Yes, ma'am, I will!" Beni shouted, closing the door.

We climbed the stairs and, crossing the parking lot, got into the car.

"Seatbelt?" I asked, starting the engine.

"Buckled" she replied.

"Good girl," I said, backing up and stealing a glance at her flushed cheeks.

What a sight.

"Would you like some music?" I asked, wanting to put her at ease; she's so tense.

She nodded, clicking through Spotify on the touchscreen. "You choose," I said.

"Wow, so much technology. Okay, then...what kind of music do you like?" she asked, focusing on selecting albums of songs.

"I don't listen to music much; sometimes I listen to melodies," I replied.

"So you're old-fashioned...okay, let's try this one," she said, playing "Senza Fine" by Gino Paoli.

"Endless

You are a moment without end

You have no yesterday

You have no tomorrow

Everything is now

In your hands, big hands

Endless hands

I don't care about the moon

I don't care about the stars

You, for me, are moon and stars

You, for me, are sun and sky

You, for me, are everything

Everything I want to have..."

"Do you like it? Shall I change it?" she asked halfway through the song.

"No, I like it. I like the lyrics too," I replied.

"It's very romantic," Benedetta commented, playing with the seatbelt.

"Yes, it makes me think of you," I said, placing a hand on her knee to calm her; she's very nervous.

She sighed and looked up at me, smiling gratefully.

The song ended shortly after, and she followed with "Mi sono innamorato di te" by Luigi Tenco.

"This one also has a beautiful melody, not... I didn't choose it for the lyrics," she clarified, biting her lip.

"Oh no? I thought you were declaring your love," I teased, and she lightly slapped my arm.
