Chapter 3

Y/N and his sister sat down at the dinner, the day of the event has arrived and S/N was giving Y/N a confidence boost.

S/N: "Now remember Y/N. This is the games first event. So I want you to go and enjoy yourself okay?

Y/N: "Yes oneesan, I shall enjoy the event."

S/N: "Good, now enjoy your day off. I have to head to work now"

Y/N greets his sister goodbye before making his way towards his room, putting his headgear on. Grinning in excitement as he entered the game. The day of the first event has arrived, Y/N and Kaede were standing in the main plaza where participants continuously gathered.

In addition, a gigantic screen appeared in the sky. With that, they should be showing interesting players. That will be watched by non-combat users and players that had not participated.

Y/N and Kaede looked at each other

Kaede: "Good luck out there P/N"

Y/N: "Yea, same goes with you Maple"

Mascot: "Well then, the first event! Battle Royale will be started!"

From here and there, the noise like Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!! echoed. Kaede also raised her fist up although she was shy, and shouted. Y/N did a fist bump into the air with excitement. There flows an announce with loud volume.

Mascot: "Well then, the rules will be explained once more! The time limit is three hours. The stage will be a newly created event map! The number of players defeated and the times being defeated, damage dealt and damage received. Using this criteria points will be computed, and will be ranked! Furthermore, event items will be sent to the top ten players! Please do your best!!"

Y/N: "Good luck Maple"

Kaede: "You as well P/N"

After saying that, the countdown before the teleportation was shown on the screen, and when it became zero, Kaede and Y/N were enveloped by light and teleported.

Y/N: "Huh? Where, am I?"

Y/N looked around as he appeared in a forest, rubbing the side of his cheek before walking around. At least he was prepared with traps ahead of time. And boy did he have a lot of them, and thanks to the trap skills he had. It was gonna be a blast. Literally. After placing all the traps in a rather large area, hidden from view, he would start to walk around. Looking for other players. Until he walked into another player who was wielding a battle-axe.

Player: "Well. this is my lucky day. I get the archer."

Y/N: "Well, this is something huh?"

Player: "First point for me!"

The player swings their axe, Y/N crossed his arms and summons his Glacial shield. Blocking the attack, much to the surprise of the player.

Player: "I thought you were an archer!"

Y/N: "I am, this is just a bonus."

The player screams as they got impaled by spikes of ice that shot from the shield. Becoming light particles and disappeared. While walking more through the forest, he sets up more traps behind him. Listening as explosions went off in the forest. The traps were successful.

Y/N would come across a clearing, taking note of several pillars, each ranging in a different height. He narrowed his eyes before walking over towards the tallest. Pulling out two arrows and started to climb it. Several more explosions happening within the forest. After a while of climbing, our archer stood on the pillar. Pulling his bow from his back, he took a stance.

He watched the forest as players started to come out of into the clearing.

Y/N: "Endless arrows huh? Let's see if you are true to your word"

Drawing two arrows, y/n watched the tips turn blue with mist coming off them. Must be the frostbite. The arrows flew through the air, hitting their mark and they gain the slow effect. Perfect.
