KAMYAH LARIE ARNOLD SATURDAY | 11:30 AM. JANUARY 8TH, 2024
CHRISTMAS BREAK had officially came to an end and kk volunteered to give Kamyah a tour around the school. She wanted to make sure it was the perfect fit for her before she officially transferred.
"How much longer until we get there? It feels like I've been walking for hours and getting nowhere." Kamyah complained, rubbing her hands together for warmth.
Winters in Connecticut were very cold. It got to the point where the ice was holding the car door shut.
"Stop complaining, we're going to the gym." kk sighed before making another turn until she was met with a door. "C'mon in!"
Kamyah followed behind her, entering into the big gymnasium where she seen almost everyone leaving. "Perfect, they're leaving. We have it all to ourselves." kk smiled and kamyah nodded liking the sound of that.
"I'm going to head to the restroom, but you can just shoot around until I come back." kk informed her sister and quickly ran towards the direction of the women's bathroom.
"Okayyy," kamyah dragged out before grabbing the pretty decorated basketball that was placed by the bleachers.
She dribbled twice at the 3 point line before getting into her form and making the shot. She quickly caught the ball before it hit the ground, getting ready to shoot again.
As Kamyah prepared to shoot again, she suddenly heard a voice behind her. "Did you ask me for my ball before you picked it up?" Kamyah heard a female voice call out.
Kamyah turned around, facing Paige Bueckers, the star basketball player, standing there with a serious expression.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Kamyah quickly apologized, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I just wanted to blow off some steam and didn't realize it was yours."
