Chaewon was fucking nervous. Yunjin never responded to her text, and she had never unsent it. It just hung between them, like an unanswered question. What on earth had made Chaewon say that in the moment? Well, it had been true, but still.
She had gotten to the theater a little bit earlier than usual, since her last class of the day was let out early. She sat next to Minjeong on stage, fiddling with her fingers as she was deep in thought. She hadn't seen Yunjin all day, she had no idea how the taller girl was feeling. Did she hate Chaewon for pressuring her into kissing? She had seemed to reciprocate though...
Chaewon, for what seemed to be the millionth time, thought back to the kiss. She was obsessed with that feeling, how right it had felt. Being in Yunjin's arms had been unreal, Chaewon couldn't wait to do it for the play.
There were some things she knew about Yunjin though. She was cool, everyone agreed she was. She was badass, effortlessly hot, and in general just a cool person. She probably had dozens of girls chasing after her. Yunjin wouldn't like Chaewon, she was too boring. Chaewon sighed. She liked to imagine though, that Yunjin liked her.
"Hey, you alright?" Minjeong put her hand on Chaewon's shoulder. "You spaced out for a while,"
"I'm fine," Chaewon agreed.
"Don't you need to go over your lines?" Asked Minjeong.
"Nope. I'm off book,"
"Hmm, you've just been really quiet lately," Minjeong told her. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Jeong, don't worry," Chaewon assured her. "Just a little worn out. I think we're all stressed,"
"Ugh, agreed," Minjeong put her head on Chaewon's shoulder. "By the way, have you seen Yuri lately?"
"Not much, why?"
"Yoonjung asked for me to keep an eye on the girl," Minjeong explained. "Maybe she's worried people aren't going to see Yuri and accidentally step on her,"
"I heard that, Minjeong,"
"Oh!" Minjeong and Chaewon looked up to the ceiling of the theater, where Yuri was standing on the catwalk. "There you are,"
"Tell Yoonjung I don't need anyone to look after me," Yuri crossed her arms and scowled down at the pair.
"She's just being a good sister, calm down shorty," Minjeong rolled her eyes.
"I'm not-"
"Alright!" Called Kazuha as she walked into the theater, Yena, Yunjin and Sakura behind her. "Are we ready to get started?"
Chaewon barely noticed the other girls gathering onstage, her eyes were glued to Yunjin. The taller girl wasn't looking at her, engaged in some conversation with Yena and she didn't even seem to notice Chaewon.
"Listen everybody," Kazuha took a deep breath as she put her bag down and joined everyone on stage. "The play will open next Friday night, so that means we have a little more than a week to finish this,"
The cast groaned.
"I know, I know," Kazuha agreed. "So what that means is that blocking is going to be finished today, so that we can start doing run throughs of the show and get costumes fitted and everything,"
Chaewon spaced out again when people started asking questions. She looked down at her hands, fiddling with her rings while she waited for this part to be done. So she could go talk to Yunjin.
"Oh! And me and Sakura agreed," Kazuha's smile was slightly mischievous. "There will be no practicing of the kiss scene, to give it the spark of a first kiss,"
