Sonic.exe: Pain and Sorrow

The Curse

It was just another day on Mobius. Sonic was running through Green Hill like he usually does. Normally he'd come in contact with Dr. Eggman at the end of the zone, but he wasn't there. Instead, there was another blue hedgehog. Or at least, it looked like it was supposed to be a hedgehog. Sonic approached the guy, and he turned around. His face looked quite human-like, but it was colored a lighter blue and smiling, as if it could be some sort of mask.

"Umm... who are you?" asked Sonic. The other being's masked smile grew slightly.

"The name's Majin! It's a pleasure to meet you!" This guy seemed quite cheerful and friendly. Sonic smiled.

"Well, it's nice to meet you as well, Majin! By the way, my name is Sonic! Sonic the hedgehog!" He said proudly. The two of them talked for a while longer, before Majin said something that shocked Sonic.

"You know, I could use my magic and make you stronger. Then you could protect your friends from any kind of danger, no matter how strong it may be."

Sonic paused, thinking for a moment. He was already pretty powerful, but there were times that he had struggled against an enemy. If he was to become even more powerful, he might not struggle in any future fights. He smiles slightly before nodding.

"Alright, Majin. I accept your offer."

"Good choice, my friend."

With that, Majin snaps his fingers. Sonic could feel his energy increase, getting stronger. Suddenly, he felt something painful, and let out a scream. Once it was all over, Majin chuckles.

"Why don't you take a look at yourself now?" Majin suggested as he just summons a mirror from thin air. Sonic looked at himself, and his eyes widened in fear. He had claws and razor sharp teeth, and his eyes were pitch black with glowing red pupils. There was even blood coming from his eyes.

"Wh-what did you do to me?" Sonic looks at Majin, confused and angry.

"I did as I had promised, though it comes with a small price. Now you have to kill and obtain the souls of others. If you don't have a soul at least once a day, then you will cease to exist." he says. Sonic glares at Majin, pure hatred in his eyes.

"What do you mean, 'a small price'?! YOU TURNED ME INTO A MONSTER!!!" He lunges at Majin, claws outstretched. Majin quickly teleports out of the way, narrowly avoiding Sonic's speedy movements. Sonic gets ready to lunge at him again, but Majin teleports away. He was nowhere in sight. Sonic growls in frustration. He can't believe he accepted Majin's offer to help, only for that masked creep to turn him into a monster.

He's become a danger to the world. But he's going to try to hold off on hurting any innocent Mobians. The smaller creatures will do. At least for the time being...

A/N: First chapter done! Also... I don't know what I should call the story. The current title is just a placeholder until I have a good name for the story.
