"Abby, get your ass downstairs! We're leaving soon!" I heard my dad yell. I rolled my eyes. It would be better if Mom was coming with us, but she can't, sadly.
I grabbed what little was left in my room and headed downstairs and to the car. "You excited to see the new house?" My dad questioned. I looked at him.
"I don't see why you and Mom just couldn't of figured your stuff out. It would of saved me from having to continue to move all the time and it would of saved the both of you from a divorce." I told him honestly.
My parents did love each other...at some point, but my mom couldn't stand the fact that sometimes she didn't know whether or not Dad was actually coming home alive. She felt he was married to his job.
And just like me, she hated moving all the time. Along with all of this though? She wanted me to live with my dad.
I know why she did too. I love my mom and she loves me, normal family stuff and what not. But she sent me to live with my dad because I wasn't exactly the best kid while dad was working.
Stayed up late, woke up late, let my grades drop, skipped school, the works.
Now my dad wasn't that strict, but he was when it came down to drinking, smoking, grades, my future, and boys. So I can already kiss my love life goodbye until I'm 30.
The ride there took way too freaking long so as soon as dad told me we were entering our new neighborhood, I was kind of glad. Hated myself for it too.
I got out and grabbed my stuff, walking to the door and waiting for Dad to come and unlock it. I put my stuff in my room. The moving truck was taking longer than expected.
"What do you think?" Dad questioned me. I shrugged. "I wanna move back home." I told him honestly. "I know, but you gotta work on getting good grades and not being irresponsible anymore." He explained.
Great, we were only at the new house for not even a whole night and somehow my opinion about it became a freaking lecture.
I don't like it here.

"Mike, someone's finally moving into the house down the street!" Frankie exclaimed from the window. "You mean someone actually bought Mrs. Warnters old place?" He questioned.
Frankie nodded. "I wonder what they're like." She stated as she continued to look outside.
"Why's everybody looking out the window? God, people already think we're weird." Axl said entering the room. "Someone's moving into Mrs. Warnters old place." Mike told
Him.Axl then joined them at the window. "Do they have a daughter?" He questioned. Frankie rolled her eyes. Sue was with Carly right now, if anything if the new family did have a daughter, she could be friends with Sue.
The three watched as someone got out of the car. "That's the dad that's gotta be the dad." Mike said. "That cannot be the dad, look how built the guy is, dads are supposed to look old." Axl told his dad.
"And they have a daughter!" Axl exclaimed, raising his hands above his head as he saw a girl get out.
The family waited for more people to get out but then Mike realized something. "Mom must not be in the picture." He explained. "Mike, oh my god, what if the moms dead and that's why they came here?" Frankie questioned, jumping to conclusions.
Axl was already walking out the door, saying something about meeting up with Darren to talk to him about the new neighbor, specifically how to get with her.

I was in my room, bored out of my mind. Didn't have any furniture yet because of the stupid moving truck taking forever, so I was sat in the middle of my room on the freaking floor.
Dad left a few minutes ago, we weren't even here for an hour and he was already going to work.
With nothing to do I figured I'd go on a walk or something. I went out the front door and at the end of my driveway was a lady.
"Uhm...can I help you?" I questioned, stopping in the middle of the driveway to keep my distance. "You must think I'm insane, I'm Frankie Heck, my family and I live down the street. Wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood." She said, like she had something better to do.
"Okayy. Thanks I guess. I'm Abigail Greensmith. My dad and I just moved here...sadly." I added. She laughed and then said she's see me around.
I shook my head as she walked away. I already don't like this town. I am not a people person. When I saw Mrs. Heck was out of sight I started my walk. Hoping no one else decides to feel neighborly.

"But dude, what if shes ugly?" Darren questioned me. I had just told him about the girl that moved down the street from me.
"I forgot I didn't see her face." I told him as my smile dropped. "You know her name?" Darren asked me. "Dammit!" I said. I didn't even know her name. But the smile on my face was back. "I do know where she lives though." I told him.
"Dude, that's your way in!" Darren yelled. We then went to pick up Shaun.
I hope to god she's hot.

"Mike, I think the new family, the one that moved into the old Warnters old place, I really think they're like us." Frankie explained to Mike when she got home.
"What do you mean?" He questioned from the couch. "Well I went over there. The daughter was walking out the house. She wasn't too enthusiastic about meeting me. Said her name was Abigail Greensmith and that she and her dad just moved here, sadly." Frankie explained.
"Eh, that's probably teenage angst or something. Should of met the dad first." He said. "Well, I'm just saying." Frankie replied.

I continued to walk when some lady was walking out of her house and called out to me. Jesus no. I thought to myself. She was fast too, so before I could make a break for it, she was already in front of me.
"Hey, I hear your new it town!" She exclaimed. I stood there a minute before I answered. "Yep." I said unenthusiastically.
"Well I'm Nancy Donahue." She started to explain as a beat up car pulled into the driveway and someone came out of the house. "Oh, Shaun, meet the new neighbor!" She yelled to the guy who came out of the house.
The dude came over with a smile and held out his hand. "I'm Shaun, it's nice to meet you, you are?" Shaun asked, waiting for me to introduce myself. "I'm Abby, Abigail Greensmith." I told him, reluctantly shaking his hand.
He then turned his attention to the car. "That's Axl and Darren, they're my friends. He explained. I nodded. I'm not gunna lie, neither of them were ugly.
But there's no chance in hell that I could date one of them. My dad would flip and ground me, and kill them. "Bye Abby." Shaun said. I replied with a bye back and he got into the car and left.
"Well I should get back inside. Welcome to town Abby!" Mrs. Donahue shouted happily as she started to walk back to her house.
I decided I'd had my fair share of people today, so I walked back home.
I wonder who the brown curly long haired guy was. Was he Axl or was he Darren? I shouldn't even care. Probably won't even be in this town for long anyway.
I sat in my room again. Welcome to Orson, Indiana. I said to myself with a sigh.

"You know her name now, and you know what she looks like!" Darren yelled from the back seat. "Wait, you've seen her before?" Shaun asked me. I nodded. "My family's a bunch of weirdos and we watched her and her dad move in." I told him.
"Are you going to ask her out?" Shaun asked. I shrugged. "I don't know." I said honestly.
I don't know what was going on with me or what the hell my problem was. But Abby didn't look like the other girls I've dated in the past, and it didn't bother me like it would have. She was good looking. I just don't know how to explain it I guess.
Now I ask myself if I should ask her out or not. I smiled to myself for some weird reason.
Welcome to Orson, Indiana Abigail Greensmith...sadly.
