CH 2: FIRST MEET..!

There was a knock on the cabin of the FBI agent, Ishaan Malhotra.

“Come in!” came Ishaan’s deep voice from inside.

“Sir there was a murder reported. He was the manager of the famous fashion company, CREVA. It is an unusual murder. He was poisoned. The poison was very dangerous and rare. He didn't show any symptoms of the poison till his death but when his blood was tested, it was confirmed that he had been poisoned. This murder isn't out of rivalry or revenge. So that’s why Mr Ahuja wants you to investigate this case” Hriday said.

“Okay!...I’ll look into this matter” Ishaan said.

After studying the case file for 30 minutes, Ishaan called for Hriday.

“Prepare the car, let’s go to the company first. Send one team to Mr Roy’s house to interrogate his wife and daughter and ask Karan to go to the hospital and record the attending Doctor’s statement” Ishaan told Hriday and he nodded in response. Hriday and Karan had been working under Ishaan since they joined the Bureau. They have always been loyal to Ishaan and the Bureau.

After a few minutes, we settled ourselves in the car and drove off to the CREVA company. When the car stopped at our destination, I got out of the car wearing my sunglasses. The police have already surrounded the company.

“Good morning Mr Malhotra….I am Senior Inspector Harsh Singh Chauhan….I’m in charge of this case….Mr Ahuja has already told me about your arrival so I think you’ve already read the case file” SI Chauhan said.

“Hmm….I’ve got a brief idea about the case….What’s the situation here?” Ishaan enquired.

“We have interrogated almost everyone in the company….Mr Roy seemed to be a fatherly figure to all the employees here and he is the oldest employer of this company…..I don’t think that he has any rival or enemy….Miss Kritika was closest to him.” SI Chauhan said.

Ishaan was listening carefully and then he said “I think there was another motive behind this murder.”

“Sir everything has been wrapped up….I’ve told everyone to work from home…Now this building is yours as long as you wish to have it for the investigation….Still I’ll be highly obliged if you can solve this case as fast as you can….As you know that this is a private company so many people are depended on the company for their livelihood” Kritika told SI Chauhan in her always calm and composed tone.

“She is…?!” Ishaan said in a questioning manner.

“Ohh!...She is Miss Kritika Singhania, CEO of this company, CREVA and also a professional model” SI Chauhan said clearing Ishaan’s doubts.

“Miss Singhania, can we have a talk?” Ishaan asked in his professional tone.

“Can we talk later Mr….” Kritika asked.

“Ishaan Malhotra” Ishaan replied.

“Can we talk later Mr Malhotra. Right now I’ve to go to the hospital for some paperwork.” Kritika said.

“Great!! I also have to go to the hospital. Let’s talk on the way, Miss Singhania. If you don't have any problem” Ishaan said in his mocking tone.

“Sure Mr Malhotra!!” Kritika told Ishaan gesturing him towards her car.

Both of them settled in the car and Kritika started driving her Black Mustang.

“So Miss Singhania…I heard that you were really close with Mr Roy” Ishaan said.
