Chapter 9: The Other Universe

The sun's light was warm, thankfully her pool umbrella was open to protect her from the heat. Y/n was sitting on a pool chair, sipping her drink while reading a book. 

A figure then approached her. "Miss L/n, here's the new report you asked for," The female in the suit handed Y/n a file. 

She set down her book. "Thank you, you may go," Y/n said and took the file from her. 

Y/n opened the envelope that contained a few pages of paper. She hummed with satisfaction as she read it. "Finally," She muttered. 

"Well, you look happy," A voice spoke behind her. "I'm guessing you already heard," 

"I've read, yes," She replies before accepting the male's greeting; a kiss on the cheek. "What brought you here?" 

"Can't I just visit my dear sister?" He smiled and sat on the side of the pool chair. 

Y/n smiled. "You can," She replied. "But I know you're here for a reason Izana, so, what is it that you want?" 

"You're my best soldier Y/n," He said. 

She chuckled. "Don't let Kakucho hear that," 

Izana smiled and continued. "Now that Bonten's missing its heart, why don't you visit them," He suggested. "Just to see the situation," 

"You really love seeing your enemies grovel huh," She gave him a knowing look. "Alright, I wanna see too," 

Y/n stood up and took her leave. "Say hi to them for me~" Izana added. 

She nodded. "Sure-!" 

Y/n isn't really Izana's sibling, a blood-related sibling that is, they're merely raised together in an orphanage, so Izana, Y/n, and Kakucho are kinda like siblings. 

Once she was done getting ready, she made her way to the elevator. She lived in a penthouse suite with Izana, and Kakucho.

"Where are you going?" Now it was Kakucho who she crossed paths with. 

"Going to visit a friend," She smiled with hidden intentions. 

The male watched her as she happily hummed on her way out of the building. "Huh..." He muttered before shrugging and entering the elevator.

It was fairly easy to find Bonten's whereabouts, they were all predictable in Y/n's opinion. Now, it's clear that Bonten and Tenjiku aren't really enemies nor are they friends. 

They're merely 'allies', they support each other, but in reality, everyone is wishing for the other's downfall, which is why Y/n's quite happy for Bonten's misfortune. 

"Good afternoon Ms. L/n," The men greeted her as she walked by. 

They then opened the door for her, and inside the room was Mikey in a hospital bed, Sanzu standing idle, and Takeomi sitting down. 

She wore an empathetic expression. "How is he?" Her joy was now masked in worry. 

Takeomi stood and bowed. "Not well, the doctors said it'll take him a while to recover," Y/n already knew that.
