"So basically we're reacting to their theories and assessing it?" Kodera asked.

"Exactly like a gach-" Inukai called out, but the rest of Ninomiya Squad interrupted him.

"Excuse him he's a child."

"I'm not!!" Inukai started whining exactly like a child.

"Well then, let's see their ideas," Azuma sat on the bed as Jin prepared a laptop to be viewed, containing live feeds of all the squads.

"You guys have been watching us like this? Creepy," Yuma duck faced.

Jin chuckled, "Well of course, how else will we assess you guys?" Everyone shuddered.

A bit before.

Suwa watched Osamu as he walked into the operators room, his hands falling dejectedly to his sides. "He seems nervous," Suwa mused.

Katori tsked, "That four-eyes... grrr, I could have just forced it out of him." She continued to rant about her misery and Osamu and neighbours.

"And you know he would never betray the Neighbours like that," Oki stated, leaning forwards, staring towards his laptop, and the special assignment.

"I hate Neighbours," Katori grumbled out, "All kinds, I don't care if they work for Border, I hate them all."

"Harsh but fair," Madoka said quietly.

"Soooooo," Suwa hesitantly started, "Now we know about Katori's feelings towards neighbours, who do you think is a Neighbour?"

"I feel kind of bad, but I believe its Chika-chan," Madoka started off, "Like it makes sense, Mikumo and Kuga always shelter Chika from the bad stuff and her trion levels are extraordinary."

"Well going by that logic, then Hyuse could also be a neighbour," Oki continued on.

"Yeah but he doesn't have as much trion as Chika."

"But still has a higher amount than Ninomiya, who had the highest levels of trion before both of them joined Border.

Suwa cut in, "Isn't Tamakoma-2 planning to go to the away mission to find Chika's brother?"

Madoka and Oki stopped in their tracks, "Oh."

"But Hyuse being a Neighbour makes sense," Suwa proceeded, "But then the Tamakoma engineer would be a Neighbour too, that's his uncle."

"So Hyuse isn't a Neighbour as well?" Madoka pondered, "Well then who could it be?"

Katori's eyes opened wide, as if she had just discovered something incredible, "Konami."

"Konami??" Everyone questioned.

"That girl is battle crazy, actually no, she is plain crazy." Katori stated, waving her arms about to make her point.

Suwa chuckled and refuted Katori's nomination, "Konami is part of Old Border, so she probably isn't the Neighbour as well."

Katori blew her bangs out of her eyes, "Booey."

All was silent in the faux spaceship of Squad 1, with only 3 people left in the living area. A 16 year old girl who is nervous around the opposite sex left in charge of people of the opposite sex (and a Hikikomori nonetheless), a 17 year old brash boy who only has money on his mind, and finally a disciplined, polite 14 year old boy currently questioning Border's whole damn existence.

"So-so who-ho do you th-th-think is the Neighb-b-bour?" Sayoko's eyes darted across the room as she tried to create the courage to make eye contact with her fellow temporary squadmates, but failing.
