Makoto's consciousness drifted into a state of suspended animation as he awaited his rebirth into the new world. Time seemed to lose its meaning as he floated in the void, a mere specter of existence.
Then, like a gentle breeze sweeping through the cosmos, he felt the pull of destiny guiding him towards a new life. With a rush of sensation, Makoto found himself enveloped in warmth and light, emerging into the world as a newborn baby.
His eyes blinked open for the first time, taking in the sight of his surroundings with wonder and curiosity. Before him stood his mother and father, their faces filled with love and anticipation.
"Daniel," his mother whispered, her voice like a melody in the air. "We shall name you Daniel, for you are our precious gift, born anew into this world."
Daniel gazed up at his parents, a sense of belonging filling his heart as he embraced his new identity. The god that had sent him to this world suddenly spoke in his mind.
"Oh, sorry, I haven't asked how old you were when you died," the god's voice echoed within his thoughts.
"I was sixteen," Daniel responded in his mind, still coming to grips with this unique form of communication.
"Well, I highly doubt you would want to live the hardships of being a baby with a sixteen-year-old mind. I will just put you on autopilot until you turn four. Does that sound good?" the god proposed.
"Yes, that is fine. Will I remember the details of everything important that happens in those four years?" Daniel asked, seeking reassurance.
"Yes, you will. So, do not worry about that," the god assured him. Curiosity sparked in Daniel, "By the way, I never got the chance to ask your name."
The god chuckled softly, "I actually don't have a name, but if you like, you can call me Eldranos."
"Eldranos, will I be able to contact you again?" Daniel inquired, a slight pang of sadness at the thought of never speaking to Eldranos again.
"I do not know. I'm actually surprised myself that I'm able to talk to you. Maybe it is because of your mana from the other two gods, and I was in close contact with you earlier. But I highly doubt we will be able to talk again after this, so this is goodbye for now," Eldranos explained.
As the four years passed by in a blur of growth and discovery, Daniel flourished under the loving guidance of his parents, Jack and Alisa. He learned that his father was a retired swordsman, his muscular frame adorned with scars earned from battles long past. Jack's magic manifested in subtle ways, enhancing his physical prowess with temporary boosts in strength and speed.
Alisa, with her long gray hair shimmering like strands of silver moonlight, was a retired mage of formidable power. Her magical abilities spanned a wide spectrum, from elemental manipulation to healing arts and beyond.
Together, they lived in a sprawling cabin nestled deep within the woods, a sanctuary of peace and tranquility amidst the bustling kingdom nearby.
One morning, as the dream-like recollections faded, Daniel walked into the kitchen to meet his parents. "Good morning, mother and father," he greeted cheerfully.
"Good morning," both Jack and Alisa replied, turning to smile at their son.
Daniel thought to himself that he should probably learn more about this world and decided to see if he could truly know all languages, both written and spoken. "Do we have any books about the history of this country?" he asked innocently.
Jack spat out his drink in surprise. "Where did that come from?" he exclaimed, wiping his mouth.
"Well, I would like to learn about the history of this kingdom," Daniel explained.
