Gowasu, the Supreme Kai of Universe 10, sat across from his protege, Zamasu and he stares into his cup of tea.
Gowasu: Ah, Zamasu... Your tea is finally clear, you must finally be learning. It's good to know that you are open to learn.
He takes a sip of the tea and Zamasu speaks up.
Zamasu: Master Gowasu, these mortals... Especially the one you watched on GodTube, Y/n... They aren't afraid of us Gods. They could rebel...
Gowasu sits his tea down and frowns.
Gowasu: Zamasu, while Son Y/n of the Seventh Universe may not be afraid of you or me, I could plainly observe his character throughout both the Universe 6 and 7 tournament and the Tournament of Power... That mortal is as good a soul as there can be, flawed perhaps, but he is good.
Zamasu: But Master Gowasu he could become stronger, and say he does, what's to stop him from changing with said power? He could cause unparalleled damage to the balance of the universe, no, the entire multiverse!
Zamasu and Gowasu lock eyes, and Gowasu could see the conviction in Zamasu's eyes, he truly believed what he was saying.
Gowasu: How can you think that when the only wish he made, that could have been anything his heart desired mind you, was to restore the universes claimed in the Tournament of Power? And even if he were to cause damage to the balance of any universe, like all things, it would be corrected. A higher power would prevent him from doing anything too heinous.
Zamasu: No, Master Gowasu, that is a problem. He should not be even allowed that opportunity... And he, a mortal, wields Ultra Instinct. A divine technique that even Destroyer Gods struggle to learn. That doesn't give any cause for alarm?
" You know, it's rude to talk about someone behind their back, Zamasu. "
Zamasu turns and sees Son Y/n.
Zamasu: Y/n...
Y/n: You seem to know quite a bit about me, but all I know about you is your name... Care to enlighten us?
Whis, who was standing next to Y/n, speaks up.
Whis: Zamasu, I can assure you that Y/n is not evil in any capacity.
Gowasu: What brings the two of you here? The most powerful mortal of Universe 7 and the Angel of Universe 7 surely don't just go universe hopping.
Y/n smiles at Gowasu and turns his attention back to Zamasu, who glared daggers into him.
Y/n: Actually, Gowasu... I wanted to meet Zamasu for myself. See, I heard about his fear of mortals and I wanted to put him at ease. I also hear that Zamasu is a capable fighter, so I wanted to let out fists do the talking in a sparring match, that is, of he'd agree to it. I would like to show him my true character.
Zamasu felt threatened by the mortal's presence, he knew this mortal's strength was far above and beyond that of a Kai and the thought angered him, however, he keeps up his calm demeanor and smiles at Y/n.
Zamasu: I only worry because I have seen mortals do things like that before, but if you truly have only good intentions, then I will gladly accept your challenge, even if it's obvious I would lose against your Ultra Instinct power.
Gowasu: Well, there you have it, you two feel free to start whenever you want.
Y/n and Zamasu both take a fighting stance, and for a moment, time seems to stand still for Zamasu. Was he truly... Afraid?
Y/n: Go!
With that, Zamasu springs into action, rushing Y/n with a punch aimed at his face, but Y/n easily ducks under him and spins around, completely closing the distance between them, and slamming his elbow into Zamasu's sternum, causing him to cough up saliva as he reels back in pain. Y/n then performs a flip to again close the distance, but Zamasu makes a Ki blade and thrusts it towards him, only for Y/n to avoid the attack with a precision Zamasu could barely even comprehend.
' This mortal... His movements, his strength, his speed... They are Godly, even though he's mortal filth! How can he fight with such a calm, tranquil expression on his face! It's like he's completely at peace! Is this Ultra Instinct? ' Zamasu thinks to himself as he leaps away and Y/n begins slowly walking towards him. Zamasu growls and fires a Ki blast, but Y/n merely smacks it away as he closes the distance and as he gets closer, Zamasu freezes up, gripped by fear. He could not deny it, this mortal frightened him.
As Y/n reaches Zamasu, he swiftly throws his fist out for a punch, and Zamasu could already imagine the pain the attack would cause, he felt the overwhelming fear of possibly being killed with just this attack, but it never comes as Y/n stops his fist a mere inch away from his face, the force of the punch still kicking up strong winds that momentarily swept across the entire planet. Zamasu's heart was pounding in his chest and he could feel a pit in his stomach.
Y/n's calm expression shifts to a smile as he pulls his arm away, letting it sit to his side.
Y/n: Thanks for the match, Zamasu.
He then turns to Gowasu, bowing.
Y/n: Thank you as well, Gowasu. If you'll excuse me, I have to get back to my universe.
With that, he walks over to Whis and grabs his shoulder as they're engulfed in a brilliant beam of light and depart. Gowasu simply watches them go with a small smile.
Gowasu: What a kind mortal...
He then notices that Zamasu was completely silent and he speaks up.
Gowasu: Zamasu, are you alright?
Zamasu is snapped out of whatever thoughts were on his mind and he speaks up.
Zamasu: O-oh, forgive me Master Gowasu... I just couldn't believe the sheer might of Y/n, it was incredible to see it firsthand...
Gowasu: Indeed. Perhaps he has changed your perception of mortals, yes?
Zamasu: Yes, he certainly has, Master Gowasu...
Gowasu: Good to hear.
He walks away, going into his house.
' That power... If I could make it my own... That's it! I will find out as much as I can about you, Son Y/n! I will understand you and I will make that body mine for my own purposes, it would serve a God better anyway! Thank you for showing me just how useful a mortal can be! ' Zamasu thinks to himself with a smirk.
