"Okay. Mom just left for work. She said I'm in charge. Kimi is coming over so do whatever the hell you want. Just don't bother us when we're in my room listening to music. Got it?"

Demi walks into the twins' room, her hair up in her black satin bonnet. She seems to already be in her pj's, sleep shorts and a graphic tank with the school's logo near the top. Samara and Stella both look up from what they were doing, seeming used to this.

"Okay."

"Yep."

"Good. I'm ordering pizza, what do you want?"

Demi asks as she looks between us all. I'm lounging in the desk chair that is more of a small arm chair while Stella braids Sadie's hair on her bed. The blonde is on the floor before the twin as her other half draws on her own bed. Mariah Carey's latest album plays softly from the stereo on Samara's dresser across the room, making it a little less quiet in this bedroom.

"Pepperoni is fine."

"Good."

Demi walks out right after Stella answers. She leaves the door open, the sound of her own music blasting from her bedroom across the hall. It seems to be a slow jam station, Boyz II Men drifting into the room. Samara huffs, getting up and walking towards the wide open door.

"Who's Kimi again?"

Sadie asks Samara pushes the door shut with an annoyed face. I hold back a snort as she turns and marches back to her bed. Stella doesn't look up from Sadie's hair as she speaks.

"Demi's best friend. They've known each other for years."

"Isn't she the one who fills in for Demi when she can't make practice? The short brunette with the gorgeous pen straight hair?"

"Yeah."

Stella answers my questions, tying off the braids. Sadie stands, stretching as she thinks. A look of realization comes across her face as Stella gathers up the hair scrunchies and hair ties scattered across her blanket behind her.

"Oh! I know who you're talking about now! I couldn't ever remember her name..."

I laugh, shaking my head at the blonde as Stella sighs. She stands up straight, the basket of different hair accessories and products in her right hand. She turns towards her own dresser next to her bed. A purple mirror allows me to see her face as she sets the basket down.

"Yeah. Her and Demi are always together..." she starts to put on her own bonnet, making sure it's in place as Sadie and I turn towards her. "It's quite weird actually. I don't think they're ever really apart. Like she stays over all the time! I had to beg mom to let you both stay over..."

"Huh.."

I look down, thinking about how unfair that is. As well as how I also don't see them apart that much either. Every time I come over I see Kimi with Demi. I guess that's what happens when you have the same best friend for your whole life.

Samara clears her throat, seeming a little uncomfortable. She fiddles with her pencil as she looks towards her door. Stella seems to catch the behavior as well, her eyes watching her sister in the mirror. She starts to remove her makeup from the day as she looks at Samara.

"What is it?"

"What?"

"You obviously have something you want to say. So say it."

I look between the two sisters, my eyes bouncing back and forth. Sadie moves to stand beside me, her own eyes moving between the twins. Samara sighs, standing once more before moving towards the door. We watch her in confusion as she opens it up. Her head moves back and forth, looking for something before she steps back in.
