[Northern lands: Snowy somewhere-nowhere]
The heavy snowstorm was the worst thing that could happen to anyone who dared to step into these mountains in the North, but 2 particular people found no problem with this and even decided to comfortably rest inside a lonely wooden hut despite all the possible dangers
Sitting on the fur carpet before the fireplace, sat a young-looking black-haired man and a white-haired woman, huddled close to each other wrapped in a blanket, one drinking hot cocoa while the other just gazed into the warm flames,
*WWWOOOOSSHHH*
The storm rages outside nonstop tearing the man's attention away from the fireplace ''When do you think the storm will clear up?'' looking up from her mug, the girl pondered for a moment ''Minimally 6 months most likely, also depends on how long we want to stay here, are you tired of this place already..?''
''Nah, i was just wondering" his hand slithered over her back and held her side gently pulling her closer to him "Have you looked for the grimoire that instantly ties your shoes yet?"
"Not yet, i feel way too warm right now, i just want to relax, so maybe tomorrow" she snuggles to his shoulder
"Frieren... You len'alas" his soft tone reached her elfish ears which he pulled on a little and in response, the short woman ''accidentally'' spilled some of her piping hot beverage on his lap ''Whoops'' smiling innocently she witnessed as Sukuna hissed and scrambled to his feet rushing to the bathroom cursing loudly at the elf who just innocently smiled to herself, her expression softened at this once-alien emotion that Sukuna makes her feel
'I like being alone, but that is why i knew you were different. Because for the first time in my entire life, i wanted someone's else company more than my own' Frieren reminisced of her vows she told Sukuna on that day, *stares into her almost empty mug* she's incredibly happy she met him...
The next morning Sukuna stumbled upon a hidden trapdoor in the kitchen where he found various relics, trinkets and of course, the damn Grimoire Frieren has been looking for. Once he retrieved the spell book to the half-naked sleeping elf she instantly woke up after waving it in front of her face. After a special reward from the elf they packed up their belongings and departed from the cozy hut in search of more grimoires.. and hopefully more fingers.
''See? i told you that the Heat aura spell would come in handy one day'' suitcase in hand, Frieren walked through the snow with ease as it melted all around her and Sukuna who rolled his eyes following ''I still think it would've been easier to level this whole region with a fireball along with that fraud who calls himself the king of demons. I hate this shitty snow storm, i can barely see your ass through it and that's saying something''
*OOMF*
Sukuna gets shoved face-first into the quickly melting snow by what seems to be an invisible force ''Okay i deserved that, blegh'' spitting the cold water he catches up to the short elf before the snow melts to the mud below it ''Anyways... Once we get out of this storm, we should really make a stop to re-supply again, *rummages through his side bag* we ran out of those vanilla wafers'' Frieren gave a quiet hum of approval keeping her attention on the path, she has yet to find the navigation grimoire so getting off-track in this storm would give the pair a little trouble, but would they get lost? Nah, they'd find a way out
Several hours passed, the storm still going hard, despite not seeing the sun they could tell it was starting to set indicated by the color of the sky shifting to a beautiful orange hue, but there was a huge mountain wall in the distance, it looked to be about 5 more kilometers away from their current location, so they could get to it on time before it gets dark
