chapter one

My day started off like any other day. I woke up at 6: 15am. I knew that I had to make breakfast for my dad before he woke up for work and clean the house before I have to get ready school.

My name is Melody ,but every on
e just calls me mel for short. There nothing special about me that you should know. I'm 17 years old. I live with my father and I have a younger sister name Harmony. She such a sweet little girl. She always does what she is told and never argue.

Harmony is only two and she reminds me so much of our mother. From her big grey eyes to her curly hair. Just one look at her and she will have you wrap all the around her finger.
After I was finally finished with my task, I went to wake up my sister do she could get and get ready for day care.

Whiles walking up stairs I could hear my dads getting up. I remember all that my family been through when my mom died. My mom was the best mom in the world as cliche as it sounds, but she was.
Mom always had a smile on her face and helping those who are In need.

Mom die 2 months after my sister was born. After her death my dad started to work more hours at the office and be strated to drink more.
There was not a day that would go by that you don't smell alcohol all over him.
Well enough thinking about him.I had to get this list one out of bed so we won't have to worry about running into our dad. He also say some stuff to her to make her cry.
When I reach her room all you cloud have a en was purple. Purple walls ,purple sheets ,purple curatings. You get what I mean right.purple was one of Harmony favorite color .
Walking over the to her bed I notice she had her stuff bunny on the floor .she never leave the house unless she has her bunny.

"Angel wake up". That's the nickname I have for her. I could see her eyes starting to open. Grey eyes met mines. She was truly our mothers child.

"Come on honey time to get ready for school."
" do I have to?" She said in her cute baby voice .her being to makes I'd a little bit difficult for other person to understand her.
" come on honey don't you want to have fun with your friends?''
"OK can I bring Mr.bunny with me."
" of course t honey." What did I tell you. She would not leave until she has this bunny with her.
After a picking out her out fit she went in to the tub.
After she came out of the tub I help her to put on her dress. I must say she look to damn cute.
I was already for school now we just eats breakfast and go on our way to school.
"Harmony can you guess what I made you for breakfast."
''Panvakes?" She ask with a smile on her face.
"Yes I made pancakes. Let hurry up and eat so we could go.ok" "ok."
Knowing that my dad left already he could always come back and I really don't want anything to happen.
To busy with my thoughts o did not see Harmony was already finished with breakfast and went to get her bag waiting for me with Mr. Bunny. "Ready to go honey" she bounce her head up and down her curls flying all over the place.

Picking up my keys we went to my car  Which was my mom old BMW.
After droping Harmony to school i made my way to school.some people will called it hell or prison, but I love school. I get good grades and no I'm not a nerd .I'm just an average student that wants to actually be some body in  life and be able to provide for my family when the time comes.
