Hiding

Chapter 2

Chloe's POV:
After school I met up with Mackenzie. "Ready to go?" I asked. "Yep! Let's go!"We ran off in the direction of her house. I had brought two backpacks, One for School and another one for The sleepover. When we finally got to Mackenzie's house, I heard Tony yell "Mackenzie get in here!!" Kenzie looked at my, and motioned for me to follow her. "Why woul- Oh, hello Chloe!" Tony said, he must've not known I was coming. "Hey Tony, Hi Melissa" I said as I gave a little wave to both of them. "You girls go ahead and go upstairs, We'll order a pizza" Melissa said. Mackenzie and I rushed upstairs. "OMG, Guess what!" I said. "What?" Mackenzie asked as she took our bags and set them in the corner. "I was looking for my brown leather boots in my closet yesterday, and I found and attic!" I said, as I settled myself on her bed. "Cool!" Kenzie replied. "Did your Mom know about it?" She added. "Yea, she did, she said I could decorate it and it could be our little secret room!" I said. "Omg! That's awesome!" Mackenzie said. "And, there is already a mattress up there, and My Mom is going shopping for some decorations for it today!" I added. "Your so lucky to be rich" Makcenzie said playfully. "I know!"I said sarcatically. "So, is it big?" Kenzie asked. "Yeah, almost as big as my room!" I replied. After a bit more talking Melissa called us down for pizza. "Thanks Melissa! This looks delicous!" I said as I got a piece of cheese pizza. We both got another piece and then hurried back upstairs. We watched TV, Sang to some songs, and went Night swimming in her pool. When we finished getting dryer off we watched some TV. "I'm hungry" I said. "Me too" Mackenzie replied in agreement. "Do you want me to go get some Goldfish?" She asked. "Sure, want me to come with?" I asked. "No, it's fine" She said as she got out of bed and headed downstairs. About 5 mintues later she hadon't come up yet, so I decided to go down, to see if she needed any help. I stopped at the top of the stairs because I heard her, Tony and Melissa arguing. I knew I shouldn't eavesdrop, but I had to. I sat down on the top step, and leaned my head over a bit, I saw Melissa and Tony facing Mackenzie. Then out of the blue Tony slapped her... hard. I was going to run downstairs and stop it, but they could hurt me. I saw them kicking her, then they said something, and walked off. I ran back to her room, so No one would see me. About 2 mintues later Mackenzie came back up, her face was red and puffy, she was obviously crying. "Why have you been lying to me?" I asked
