————————Abagail placed the pink letter into the envelope. She grabbed water and dabbed her finger in the liquid before applying water to the seal on the envelope. Then she sealed it and wrote her mothers address before putting that envelope into her bag. Her pink painted toenails crossed the soft carpet as she walked to her kitchen. Very quickly she opened the fridge door and took out a quick to assemble, packaged salad. With a sigh she poured it out into a bowl and mixed it all together. She thought about cooking lessons and how it would be very fun and useful. Especially so she's not eating salads all morning.
"Why are you eating salad? You're skinny enough as is" her roommate spoke as she walked into the kitchen. Abagail rolled her eyes before groaning. That awful voice is her roommate Lindsey Millers. Her Highschool bully who made her feel like shit. Abagail glared.
"I'm not eating salad to become skinny, and even if I was, it's none of your business," Suddenly, Abagail wasn't hungry anymore. With a groan she tossed her plastic bowl into the sink and walked away.
"Whatever" Lindsey said in an annoyed tone. Abagail couldn't care less. With a quick pace she walked into her bedroom and tossed on socks and shoes before quickly heading out the front door. "Where are you going?"
"None of your business" Abagail responded as the door shut behind her. As soon as she left the apartment she breathed in fresh air. She had calmed down once she breathed in that fresh air. That's when she bumped into someone.
"Oh my!!!" She spoke as the stranger dropped papers. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going!" She apologized quickly as she kneeled down and picked up the papers. The girl that Abagail had bumped into scurried to grab the papers aswell.
"Dont worry!! It's okay!" She smiled as she graciously took the papers from Abagail. "I'm Penelope! And you are?"
"Oh! I'm Abagail! Abagail Summers! Nice to meet you" they shook hands and then Penelope rushed off. With a now soft smile Abagail wandered calmly down the hallway of the apartment building. She took out her phone from her pocket and scrolled through her phone.
Mrs. Summers
Mr. Summers
Shithead (Evan)
LeelaOnly 4 contacts. Something she's never been proud of. After all she's been through, it makes sense that she'd struggle to make friends. But this severely? She sighed before clicking on Evans contact and dialing up his number. After 4 rings he picks up.
"Hello Abby" he greeted cheerily. She could hear the sound of metal clinging in the background.
"Hey Evs, how have you been?" She asked as she walked towards the elevator. It was nice hearing from Evan. She missed them when they were younger and they had all the time in the world to have fun. Evans is all grown up now and so is she and it hurts. With a soft sigh she smiled.
"I'm alright Abs, I've been working on new music, recently. I think they're gonna be done here soon! My fans will absolutely eat it up" Evan giggled as he spoke and she could hear the gentleness in his voice.
He was always gentle with her, ever since they were kids. She didn't know if it was because she was a girl or because of her past, but he was. They had first met when she was six years old. They were on an old playground that she had snuck out of her house to see. On her way there she tripped over her foot and scraped her knee real bad. Tears streamed down her face as she cried. She remembered that day as if it were yesterday. She remembered it so well because that was the day she was saved.
"Abs you there?" Her thoughts were interrupted by the voice of Evan. She then realized she had walked all the way outside while on autopilot. "Abs? Hello?"
