Phantasma's POV (and yes, you will get Nicole's point of view later, maybe even Deidamia's)

"Sure thing," Ember said. "Mister Village Chief."

The village chief grunted. "Bring in the stone!"

Four people came carrying a fat little pouf which had a beautiful, smooth, grey stone.

"Who's first?" he asked. "Because my daughter Deidamia -"

"Bah," Ember said.

"She lost the list..." Leila sighed.

Then she waved her hand, and conjured a scroll.

"I believe this is the extra emergency copy. Two times over."

"Thanks!" Ember said brightly as Leila tossed Ember the scroll and she unrolled it.

"Alright! First up! Ada Avalon!"

I know Ada. She's in Nicole's class.

She walked up the steps, visibly trembling from head to toe.

"It's fine," Ember said.

Leila snorted. "Ember, you're supposed to say it gently, not scaring the heck out of the kid."

Ada jumped.

"Just touch the stone," Leila sighed resignedly.

Ada put her pointer finger on the stone, before easing her whole hand onto the stone.

It pulsed with gray light for a moment before turning a gentle, foresty green.

Ada looked absolutely delighted, because leaf green meant that she was a Faunae. Nicole said that Ada loved plants and animals, so I guess she got half the right thing.

But wait.

The stone then flashed a different color.

An earthy brown.

Ada was going to be a Faunae and a Terrae.

Perfectly matching who she was.

"Next! Phantasma Arendel!"

It's my turn? So fast?

I stride confidently up, if only to let Deidamia know that I'm not afraid to touch the stone.

I slap my hand on the stone and it glows. It glows...

First gold - yes! I'm a Dragon Rider! - then black - okay, I'm a Shade -, white for a really long time - no suprise there, Nicole says that I am just an icy person, but yay I'm a Frost -, red for a Blaze, buttery yellow for a Sol, and stormy gray, which meant that I was a Hurricane.

Leila and Ember looked shocked.

"B-but. How could she - what could she - what is going on with the - how does she have six powers?" Ember stuttered.

Suddenly, my head ached.

I could hear Ember's voice in my head!

What in the world is wrong with this kid to make her do that? Did she warp the Stone somehow?

"For your information, Ember," I snapped. "I can hear your thoughts, and I have nothing wrong with me. And no, I didn't tamper with the Stone."

Ember looked even more shocked, and her eyes bugged out.

"She must be a Telepath."

We all turned.

Warren, the oldest man at Golden Eagle, was old, older than any person in Golden Eagle. Older than to village chief. All people, village chief and Deidamia included, respected Warren.

Warren slowly made his way up to the stage.

"She is a Telepath. I believe Braveheart Academy has telepath training?"

"Why, certainly, Mister Warren, sir."

"Warren to you, milady Ember."

"Well," Ember insisted. "Let her touch Storm. His mind is impenetrable by humans, so let's see how powerful this chick is."

However, in her mind, Ember was muttering, Not chick. Superhuman monster.

"I can still hear you." I said loudly. "And I am not a monster."

"Just touch Storm." Ember grumbled. Telepath fickleness.

I slowly approached the purple dragon, and Leila tensed.

"Ember, can't Miss Arendel touch your dragon instead of my dragon?"

By then, I had already placed a hand on Storm's neck.

A thick, humongous wave of thoughts crashed down onto me, and I cried out. One singular, low, voice rumbled, Can you hear me?

"Y-yes..." I tell Storm.

Storm's voice withdrew from shock, and disbelief clouded his eyes. Are you sure you aren't imagining my voice?

"Yes, I'm sure I'm not imagining your voice. Didn't you just ask me, 'Are you sure you aren't imaging my voice?'?"

Storm nodded.

"Incredible..." Leila breathed, clearly talking with Storm about our chat.

"Looks like she is a Telepath as well as a Touchpath, which means that if she touches someone, she can hear and communicate with them in their thoughts. Apparently this group also includes animals." Warren was speaking again.

"I guess you can ride Hurricane..." Ember said, motioning to a beautiful golden dragon.

Hurricane had plated golden scales, twisted golden horns, amber eyes, two feathered wings, and a line of spikes going down her back.

There were four saddles lined down her back.

"You can sit in one. Maybe have a chat with Hurricane." Ember said, motioning toward Hurricane.

I strode quickly over as Ember called, "Nicole Arendel!"
