Droplets of water danced in air, then descended on surface rather on the face of a bonded, unconscious man.
He opened his eyes, blinking repeatedly, confusion and curiosity swirled in his dark orangish orbes. His body felt sore like he was beaten soft.
He let out a groan as he attempted to sit more comfortably. The confusion in his eyes increased as he took in his situation. He thugged frantically at the rope that restricted him but it yielded not. He was bonded, but how? By who?
As if answering his silent question, a figure emerged from the Shadows. "Tsk tsk tsk who would have thought the so called Great would be at my mercy."
The bonded man head jolted up in suprise. "Luxin?!" Pain and disbelief replaced the confused look " of all people why you?"
Lu Luxin let out manic laugh. He bent to the bonded man's eye level, locking their gazes. A manic smile on his face. "Becauusssseeeee...." He drew the word as long as he could. Then as if he was possessed by evil spirit, he kicked the chair down. The manic smile long gone replaced by a cold, almost wild look. "I never needed a reason." He sneered. "Not that you were worth one in the first place."
The bonded man let out a laugh, brittle and bitter his face seemed too have aged in such a short time. "You had a taste of power now you want it all for yourself. "
"Haoyu!" Lu Luxin bellowed his face red from anger and embarrassment. He hated that he was an open book he wished he was like this person, unpredictable and unreadable. That added to the growing list of why he envied and hated Lu haoyu.
"You have it now don't you?" Penetrated Lu Luxin thoughts, distorting them. The mist in his eyes disappeared leaving in its trail, undiluted anger. "Whether I do or not, is none of your concern. After all it's the end of you. Safe journey to the after life" he sneered, walking out.
Lu haoyu raised his head, a tear slipped from the corner of his eyes. His eyes formed crescents as it caught sight of the beautifully odd sky through the window. The happy memories It was tied to... It felt like apology from the dieties. At least If he was going to die, he'll die a happy man.
As if sensing his approval, his body emitted bloody sweat, he was poisoned. The poison wasn't strong enough to kill him, it'll only weaken him to the point of lethargy. They wanted not his death, but to torture him to their satisfaction, there was no way he was going to allow that.
He let out a painful groan as he opened his long locked meridians. Combination of Abilities and cultivation made it attainable. His nail dug deep in his flesh. The poison in them mixing with his already poisoned blood stream. He spat a mouthful of blueish blood with red specks in them. It was done.
He lay still his features calm, strangely at ease like he wasn't dying. Dull sensations came to an halt, leaving behind a lifeless body.
