"hang in there, I called for help already."

Lu haoyu forced his eyes open. Help?... He wasn't dead yet? Seems they had not giving up on their evil desire to hurt, stratch that, to torture him. How desperate were they?

A grimaced worked its way up his face as the familiar darkness engulfed him from within leaving an unquenched, bitter anger in its trail. If he wasn't so numb with pain... If only could he get his hands on their neck...

The person, his so called saviour looked down. They felt a chill down their spine. They swallowed hard. They weren't the one injured, why did they feel so vulnerable?

Lu haoyu in the other side gritted his teeth. He couldn't fight against this darkness. It engulfed him, it waves much more stronger than the former snatching his consciousness.

Lu haoyu let out a groan as he opened his eyes, shielding them almost immediately from the too bright light. He had heard of the heavens being an place of ethereal beauty, full of glory and peace. That light certainly wasn't heavenly.

As if it read his thoughts, the lights dimmed. He perked with an eye just to be on the safe side. His mouth almost dropped. He was in the clouds, nothing but clouds. Wait- he paused, shocked as his corner eye caught something that looked so familiar, an amulet, his grandmother's to be exact.

How did it get here? He mused, his hand curling around his hair, an old habit. The amulet was always seen with his grandmother. That's wasn't the surprising part, after his grandmother died the amulet as if had it mind of its own, stuck to his Náinai's favourite book and never came off.

Unable to resist the urge to take the old amulet, he stretched his hand but they were was caught in the air. He couldn't snatch his hand back no matter how he tried. The amulet was just an inch away. He was in the middle of groaning in frustration when he felt warm, familiar hands cover his, just that it lacked the familiar wrinkles. His foundations shook. " Náinai?!"

" Yu'er"

If his foundations shook before, now it crashed. Only his grandma called him yu'er.

" Live long Ah yu. Live happy"

He was pushed down by a strong force before he could say a word.

Náinaaaiii!!!

" Aaaahhh!!!"

************

"Aaah"

Lu haoyu shot up the hospital bed startling the nurse who was cleaning him up.

"Go on" he choked out, hesitance lacing his voice.

The nurse hmmn'ed, continuing where she left off, but it was awfully awkward. Lu haoyu felt his irritation grow with every laborious breathe he took. The headache was threatening to split his head into pieces. The nurse in the other hand felt mightily uncomfortable, she wished a magic hole would swallow her up, the patient ferocious eyes weren't helping either. Wuuuuu

"You know what, leave!" He growled.

The nurse scampered off, releasing a long held breath, her palm to her chest. She just escaped the clutches of a wild animal.

Lu haoyu held back a painful groan as he made to sit more comfortably, he was dying to know where he was,  but the headache was killing him, it weakened him, its powerful currents shaping him violently... Pain. He slid to the floor, clutching his head between his two palms, gritting his teeth to choke the sounds that wanted to escape his lips. The pain of being betrayed was little compared to this.

Perhaps it was out of the body's involuntarily habit of protecting itself, his hand glowed with a soft orange light, motes-like element traveled from his hands towards his head, weaving into his hair, merging into his scalp, healing...

Lu Chunli...
The unfortunate cannon fodder in the novel, lu chunli, the only son? of a disfavored concubine of a diamond king. He was despised by his mother on first sight, practically neglected by a father. Being born with a weird body didn't help either. Perhaps it was because his mother ate too much garlic while he was still in her womb, everyone hates him at first sight. Though he was later taken by his father due to his mother threats, his life was no different from a slave's. His vicious step mother and step brothers made his life a living hell.

His marriage was pathetic. The husband who was obsessed with his older brother, hated him to the core, in short he treated him way worse. He was later killed by the vengeful second elder brother who wanted a more luxurious life. The first elder brother returned after his shitty lover dumped him. The original owner's husband accepted the first elder brother, they got married and lived a happy life.

" Well that's one shitty story"

He was in the the body of the cannon fodder, Lu chunli... and for as the reason he was in the hospital, well he got poisoned again.

Lu haoyu let his hands drop limply to his sides, his body sagged against the cool tiles of the hospital floors. He looked his hand in wonder, he still had his abilities...

Someone probably a doctor made their way in, lu haoyu raised his gaze. Not bad, he thought. It was a doctor in his mid twenties, with stunning looks, he'd fit into the description of a male Lead actor in some movie than in a white coat.

"Good morning Mr Lu. Could you please get on the bed-"

" I'm very much well comfortable where I am." He replied curtly.

" But it's not very healthy for-"

"I don't give a damn about what's healthy. I'll appreciate it if I get discharged today."

The doctor sighed, pity flashed in his eyes, he hade seen a lot of dramas but this one was...

"Uh fine then."

Lu chunli sighed, well that went smoother than I thought...
