The soft hue of sunlight hit Izuku's face, he groggily woke up and was slightly blinded by the streak of penetrating sunlight between the curtain of the window to his right. He tried to raise his right arm to shield his eyes but his right hand got stuck and he heard the clicky sound of metal. Still dazed, Izuku raised his head to look at his right hand and saw a handcuff, tying his right wrist to the side of the bed, the bed that he only realized was a hospital bed

Seconds turn to minutes as Izuku is still trying to process the situation. Finally, a bitter realization settled in his mind "Sigh... They should've let me die" Izuku rested his head down

The door swung open, and a nurse entered before realizing Izuku was awake "Ah, Mr. Midoriya, you're awake"

"Nurse, what hospital is this?" Izuku inquired, his voice still groggy from sleep

Approaching Izuku, the nurse checked his IV "You're at Saint Luke's International Hospital, in Tokyo" She replied

"St. Luke's, Tokyo? Not Mito?" Izuku asked surprised

"You were initially treated at Mito General Hospital. However, you were transferred after your heart stopped beating for the second time" The nurse explained calmly

Izuku's expression turned bewildered "I... I died twice...?" He murmured in disbelief

"It was touch-and-go. Mito General Hospital lacked the necessary equipment and specialists, so after they revived your heart, they immediately airlifted you here" The nurse elaborated, tapping on her tablet

Processing the information, Izuku nodded slowly "How... How long have I been in the hospital?" he inquired, his tone somber

"Two days here at St. Luke's, but including your time at Mito Hospital, it's been three days" The nurse replied matter-of-factly

"I see" Izuku muttered, absorbing the information

As the door opened once more, a doctor clad in a white coat entered the room "Mr. Midoriya, I'm Doctor Isei Takeda" He introduced himself with a warm smile

"Doctor" Izuku greeted, acknowledging his presence

"It's truly remarkable that you survived, Mr. Midoriya" Dr. Takeda remarked, his tone impressed

"You're probably not my regular doctor" Izuku quipped lightly

"I assume the nurse has briefed you on your condition. In detail, your internal organs were severely damaged, but the doctors at Mito Hospital managed to regenerate them with stem cell surgery. Unfortunately, there was a complication, resulting in your heart stopping again. Luckily, they were able to revive you, and once stable, you were transferred here" Dr. Takeda explained, providing a detailed account of Izuku's medical journey

"How... How long was I... gone?" Izuku asked tentatively, a hint of dread in his voice

"Officially, 23 minutes" The doctor replied, his expression serious

Izuku felt a surge of emotion upon hearing the answer "As dire as your situation was, Mr. Midoriya, the worst is behind you. We were able to regenerate most of your internal organs, but unfortunately, we couldn't save your left arm" Dr. Takeda continued, his tone sympathetic

"I lost it last year, doctor. No chance of regeneration this time" Izuku said stoically, already accepting the reality of his situation

"I see..." The doctor nodded "By the way, there are some people who wanted to see you"

"I am not exactly in the mood to meet people, doctor" Izuku refuses to meet anyone besides doctors or nurses

"I'm afraid you needed to meet them, Mr. Midoriya" The doctor insisted
