Hazel's POV

The class ended after a painfully slow hours, and I rushed to the cafeteria so I won't have to deal with "Devil Face". I sat at an empty table and got my lunch box out and started eating, while scanning the cafeteria. Then a redhead came and sat next to me with a smile in her face.

"Hi, can I sit next to you?" she asked, I smiled.

"However, you did anyway" I said playfully, and she chuckled.

"Yeah, sorry, you're Hazel right?" 

"Yeah, that's me, and you are?" I said, as a question to know her name.

"Cara, Cara Summers"

"Like Caraphernelia?" I joked, and her jaw dropped.

"No fucking way! You don't mean the song!" She squealed, I laughed with confusion.

"Yeah, I just joked but, wait you know it? You know them?" I said, just realising she knew Pierce The Veil

"Girl marry me" she said, and we laughed.

"Guess coming to LA wasn't that bad after all" I said.

"Yup"

I lifted my eyes, to find "Devil Face" laughing with his friends, but then our eyes met and he smirked, so I looked away back at Cara, who was grinning.

"I see you pulled Daniel Decster's attention already" she said, and I rolled my eyes.

"Yes and it's annoying me, he's annoying"

"Well annoying is tiny to describe him, he's just the typical asshole who hooks up with girls and leave them like they're trash once he's bored, and he's bullying the freshmen whenever he meets them, and he's surely a troublemaker"

Understandable.

I looked over to him again and he was still smirking at me, so I flipped him off,  earning a lifted eyebrow from him and a gasp from Cara, and I smirked back, looking away.

"Girl you're playing with fire" Cara said, "And I like it" she smirked.

"Well if he wants a war, he can come and get it" I said, with the smirk not fading off my face.

"Tom I'm home!" I shouted, entering the  house where I live with my elder brother and my little sister Lavender.

"Come here I'm in the kitchen" I heard his voice so I went to the kitchen, he was chopping fruits, I approached him and kissed his cheek.

"How was your first day in school?" He asked me with a smile, his eyes not leaving the fruits so he won't hurt himself.

"It was okay, I met a nice girl and her name is Cara" I said, leaving Daniel's story.

"Oh great then, I'd like to meet this friend of yours" he said, finally looking at me, "Why don't you go change? I'll put dinner on the table and we'll eat togather"

"Okay, where's Love?" I said, asking about my sister, I call her that as nickname because it fits her tbh she's adorable.

"She's in her room, go call her too once you finish changing"

After I finished changing into my sweatshirt and sweatshirt pants I went to Lavender's room, and heard her hum to Hold On Till May softly, I smiled and knocked on it, she opened and hugged me.

"How are you little Love?" I asked her.

"I'm excited, today there was an announcement of a competition for ballet, and I was chosen, I already love this city!" She said excitedly, I hugged her tighter.
