To my little jacarandá that bloomed

----------------------------------

Prologue:

I walked through the halls, holding a jacaranda bouquet of vibrant purple flowers. Their sweet fragrance fills the air around me as I search for her.

There she is. Noelia. Her long, light bright brown hair cascades over her shoulders in soft waves. Our eyes meet, hazel green on honey, and her lips curve into a shy smile, my heart skips a beat.

I approach slowly, suddenly nervous. I stop in front of her, clutching the bouquet.

–I brought you flowers –I said. Her eyes widen as I present the blooms. She reaches out with delicate fingers to accept them, inhaling their scent.

–They are beautiful –she says softly –But how did you know this is my favorite color?

I rub the back of my neck, feeling my cheeks grow warm.

–Lucky guess?

She laughs, a sound like wind chimes.

–Thank you. That's so thoughtful.

For a moment, we stood there in the hallway, the world around us a blur of noise and movement. But for us, time seemed to slow down, allowing us to savor the connection forged by a simple, heartfelt gesture.

–See you later– she said as we parted ways.

I took a deep breath to steady my nerves as Noelia walks away, the bouquet of flowers cradled gently in her arms. My heart is still racing from our encounter.

-Beep beep beep beep -Rang the clock beside my ear, announcing a new day.

I turned off the alarm and saw the date; it was the first day of spring, where it was common to offer yellow flowers.

-Damn. I forgot –I thought while I woke up as quickly as I could.

I hurried out of my house, I would cut a path crossing through the forest that was right behind my house. I was thinking how I would sneak the bouquet of flowers until I saw the beautiful jacaranda tree full of blooms; she'll surely love it.
