Invincible: What If?

Part 1

Mark and Amber were having lunch in an outdoor cafe when Cecil suddenly appeared out of thin air.

"Time to suit up, Mark". Cecil told him.

Mark kissed Amber goodbye and secretly got ready.

People were running away scared. A silver-colored android was destroying everything in sight in the town square.

"Where are the other Guardians?" Invincible asked Immortal.

Both of them were flying towards the scene.

"On vacation." Immortal replied. "Just like your father."

It was true. Nolan and Debbie Grayson were on vacation outside of the USA. So, it was up to Mark, Immortal, and the new Guardians, Eve and Rex to fight this villain.

Atom Eve and Rex Splode were already on the scene when Invincible and Immortal arrived.

They were busy evacuating civilians.

Immortal flew head first towards the metallic monster and punched him with a two-fist charge. He got knocked back with the same amount of force and flew into a building.

Rex threw his exploding sticks at the fiend. The android caught the sticks and threw them back. Rex just got out of the way of getting his head blown to bits.

"Team listen." Cecil's voice rang out on comms. "It seems the android absorbs your energy then fires it back towards you."

"Then we better hit it with everything we've got." Invincible told the team as soon as Immortal returned.

Atom Eve nodded. She used her telekinesis to stop the monster in its tracks.

Invincible and Immortal nodded at each other while Rex Splode got two sticks ready.

"I can't hold it for long." Eve struggled.

"Now!" All three of the male heroes said in unison.

Invincible and Immortal flew towards the android and Rex threw dual sticks at it. The android was stuck due to Eve's power and couldn't defend itself against the explosion. Or what was coming next.

Both of the flying heroes smashed into the android and it absorbed their blow. Then it began charging up.

"Guys, let's get out of here!" Rex warned.

All four of them ran away and a huge blast erupted. The android was nowhere to be seen.

Far away. In the distant sky. A mysterious figure was watching everything go on.

"Is that Nolan?" Cecil asked Donald.

There was an energy marker showing on the map screen. But in a blink it disappeared.

"I don't think Omni-Man would sit on the sidelines like that." Donald replied.

Cecil scratched his chin. The energy seemed similar to Omni-Man. But it definitely wasn't him.
