(Rydel's POV)

We're currently at a Starbucks close to the police department. Riker told me this was a bribe for Ross to come with us, let alone get out of bed. After we went to the polic, we went to a funeral home, the same one where our grandma's funeral was. I remember the day she died like it was yesterday. We still had a concert, too, which was really hard to feel happy knowing someone so close to you has died that morning. We scheduled everything for the funeral in about an hour. We decided that Mom, Dad, and Ryland would share a funeral since they shared their deaths the same way, at the same place, on the same day, and within the same minute. We just left the Starbucks, and I decided to text Ellington.

Me: Were driving home now. Wanna come over?
Ell: Sure! And I felt like I've said this too much, yet not enough...I'm so sorry.
Me: Me too, but it's not your fault.
Ell: I know, but it feels like it is. When's the funeral?
Me: Sunday at 4.
Ell: Tomorrow?
Me: Next week, so the family from Colorado can come.
Ell: Okay. How's everyone handling it?
Me: I don't really know. We've all been kinda reserved. We just went to Starbucks and Riker said that it was bribery for Ross to get out of bed, but I don't know anything else. I'll tell you when I find out.
Ell: Okay. <3
Me: <3

As soon as we walked in the door, Ross pretty much ran upstairs and Riker wanted to talk to us in the kitchen. About 5 minutes after Riker called us into the kitchen, I found out that Riker found Ross half-dead on the bathroom floor when he went up to get his shower. Ross was in this condition because he cut his wrist. Really deep. Multiple times. And Riker told Ross we would go to Starbucks if he came with us so Riker would know that Ross wouldn't be able to cut if he was home by himself. Riker and Rocky went upstairs after Riker was done talking, and I needed something to do.

Me: Can you come over?
Ell: I'll be there in 10 minutes.
Me: I need to tell you something when you come over.
Ell: Okay.

"How about Coconut Lime?"
"Next."
"Blueberry Cheesecake."
"No."
"Blackberry with Lemon Filling."
"Nope."
"What about S'mores?"
"Yes! I love those cupcakes!" Ellington exclaimed. I wanted to make something, so Ell and I decided to bake some cupcakes. We were flipping through my favorite cookbook, the cupcake one. My mom gave it to me for my birthday, and we baked all of them a few times.

"Help me get out the ingredients." I told Ellington as I opened the fridge.
"Rydel, you don't have butter or powdered sugar, and we need marshmallows."
"Okay, I'll run to the grocery store to get them."
"I'll come,too."
"Okay."

--------------------

"These cupcakes look so good!" Ell told me as I finished sprinkling crushed graham crackers onto the last cupcake.
"These look exactly like the ones that my mom used to make. Speaking of family, Ross has been having some issues with the accident."
"What's wrong?" Ellington questioned.
"Well, Riker said that he found Ross almost dead because he cut his wrists really deep."
"Wow."
"I know. So, can you help us watch him to make sure he doesn't cut as much. Or at all. Or kill himself."
"Of course. I'll do whatever I can to help all of you guys through this."
"Thank you so much."
