"Hey, everyone! Listen, Ms Kate said we should have a little fun while we wait for the Blood Sky to happen. As we wait, let's all play some games like truth or dare."

The students began to form different groups, in order to play the game of truth or dare. My friends and I, along with two other students, formed a group and sat down in a circular arrangement on the green field. In the middle of our circle was an empty bottle put there by a familiar redhead.

"Alright, everyone. The game will start with Mason, and the next person will be Melissa. It'll be turn by turn, and it'll go clockwise. Whoever doesn't accept the truth or dare given to him or her receives something from me at the end of the game," the redhead explained.

Oh, I remember this redhead now. She's that girl who was seated beside me in Astronomy Class yesterday. It's weird; I don't know her name.

"Any questions?" she asked, casually spinning the bottle on the ground.

"I have a question. What's the bottle used for?" I asked.

The redhead paused, and her blue eyes, shielded by a pair of spectacles, turned to me. She stared at me coldly as she replied, "The person who asks the question holds the bottle."

"No other questions? Good," she quickly said before throwing the bottle at Mason, which he caught with ease.

"Alright, I'm first. I choose... you, James," Mason said as he pointed the bottle at James.

James nodded and crossed his arms, waiting for his question. Mason, with a smirk plastered on his face, asked, "Truth or dare?"

  "Dare."

"You know, I've always wondered if Ms Kate is attracted to younger guys. Tonight, I'll finally know. So, I dare you to seduce Ms Kate until she gives you a response."

With a chuckle, Melissa elbowed Mason's arm gently and said, "That's evil, goblin."

"Yeah, well, James has to deal with it. Unless he's a chicken," replied Mason with a smirk.

James rolled his eyes and stood up with a smug smile. "It's no big deal; I can definitely seduce Ms Kate. Why? Because I've got the charms of Cupid himself."

We all heard a familiar voice from behind me snicker and say, "Oh please, you've got the charms of a sewer rat."

I could recognise that annoying, high-pitched voice anywhere. Hailey flopped down to the ground by my side and crossed her legs with a smirk. A white tank top clung to her body, complemented with a pair of baggy, black shorts, and a pair of white sandals covered her feet.

"Hailey, It's good to see you dressing a little bit decently for once," Melissa said, sending Hailey a smirk of her own.

Hailey scoffed at her and shifted her gaze to James, who was still with us. "Go ahead with your dare and amuse us with your attempt at seduction."

"Can't you go to another group?" I asked her, annoyed at her intrusion.

No one invited you here, I said inwardly, not willing to say it out loud.

Hailey crossed her arms. "No other group is worthy of my presence. Feel fortunate you have me sitting beside you, rat."

I rolled my eyes, and just as I was about to give her a piece of my mind, Silas cleared his throat, gaining my attention. I turned to him and saw him shake his head as if telling me not to do or say anything in response.
