Me and mama get to Uncle Ben and Aunt Grace's house Autumn is in the back of the car and I take my backpack and get out of the car. There are police cars everywhere. I walk in and mama walks upstairs. I go over to Olive and I stick close to her. There are so many people here and it is making me overwhelmed. Olive takes my hand and we go sit on the couch. She puts her arm around me and I lean against her. Everyone comes downstairs and I walk over to mama and she picks me up. I lean against her, "are you ok love bug?" Mama asks me me in my ear, "too many people, too loud." I say and mama walks us out to the back porch closing the door, and all you can hear are the crickets chirping. I sigh a bit and me and mama sit on the stairs until she gets a text. "Come on let's go inside, the police should be leaving soon." Mama says and we stand up walking back into the house. I stay close to mama as everyone keeps walking around. That's when Jared comes in. "Grace. Ben. Hey, Cal's fine. He's fine. He's with Steve." Jared says and I look up at mama confused. "Oh, my God. Did you talk to him?" Aunt Grace asks Jared, "yeah, I just saw him. He's fast asleep. Steve had his phone off.He had no idea we'd be calling." Jared says, "oh, God. Thank you." Aunt Grace says and I lean against mama, I'm tired and I want to go to sleep. The police start to file out and my eyes start to droop a bit. Mama seems to notice and she picks me up. "Thank you." Mama says to Jared, "yeah, no biggie. Just my career." Jared says to everyone in the room. "We have a suspect in the car. We think she knows where Cal went. We can take her in and work from there." Mama says to Jared and she sways back and forth with me in her arms. "You want to take a kidnapping suspect into the precinct after I just told half the NYPD there's no missing kid?" Jared asks mama, "she has tons of open warrants from before 828. Once we get her in the box we can ask her whatever we want."

"Uh, no, we're sending the cops away why?" Olive asks everyone, "Because we know more than they do. Trust me. All right Grace and I are gonna start the drive up to Tannersville. We'll look for Cal's clues along the way." Uncle Ben says, "hey, borrow a car. Anything registered to you is gonna tip off the major by the time you hit the first toll booth." Me mama and Jared walk out the door and towards our cars. "Can you take Violet? I don't want her to sit in the front, and I don't want her to sit with Autumn." Mama says, "yeah." Jared says and I get handed over to him. He gets my carseat and puts it in the back of his car. He then puts me in the carseat and we drive to the police station. I fall asleep on the car ride there. Cars always seem to make me fall asleep.

Mama is on the phone with someone. I'm not sure who, but it is cold. Like really cold so I put on my jacket, and not long after so does mama. "How are you two cold? They just jacked the heat up in here." Jared says to the both of us with a smile on his face, "I dunno, but listen. That was Social Services. Autumn had a kid, a daughter. She's 8 years old, which means she was a toddler when the plane disappeared." Mama says to Jared, "really?"

"She already lost custody due to a prison stint in back in 2011, but the woman she asked me to track down, Claissa Ford? It turns out that that's the kids foster mom." Mama says looking up at Jared, "does she still have the kid?" Jared asks mama, "no, she was adopted out four years ago, but that's who she's talking about, Jared. 'It's not just about me.' She's talking about her kid. The--the major must've tracked her down." Mama says to Jared, "that's her leverage." Jared says

"So, Autumn spies on the passengers, and in return, the Major reunites her with her daughter. That's why she's so scared. She doesn't want to do anything that might jeopardi--" and mama pauses for a second, "yeah?" Jared asks mama, "we've tracked down the kid, too, so we can make a deal with Autumn." Mama says to Jared, "well, we better move fast. The Feds just voided her warrants." Jared says and I look up from my iPad and I look at Jared. "What are you talking about?" Mama asks Jared and he puts some papers on mama's desk. "Whoever this Major is, she's pulling strings. It's only a matter of time before we have to cut Autumn loose." Mama leans back in her chair and she doesn't look very happy about the news that Jared gave her. "I have to go ask Autumn some questions, ok? Why don't you go get a hot chocolate from the break room?" Mama asks and I nod getting up and going to the break room to make myself a hot chocolate. It's not very hard and I do it by myself a lot. Once I finish I go back and sit down in mama's chair since she isn't here and I spin around it while drinking my hot chocolate.
