"Melodious Stars" was a smashing success, and now the two DJs of the two performing units held a post-concert interview session while the other girls had a chance to clear the stage, pack up the equipment, and move it out before the rest of the audience departed.

"Well then, let's get started!" said Saki cheerfully, unusually extroverted after such a breathtaking, stellar song. Beside her, Haruna nodded with an equally polite, friendly smile, looking both at the audience and her fellow DJ. "You know? This is my first time co-hosting with Haruna!" Saki noted absentmindedly into her mic as she sifted through the script she was to read to the audience as they went through the interview.

"Is it really?" Haruna couldn't help but raise her eyebrows in surprise, and Saki did the same as she met the other girl's gaze. Yes, they'd never officially co-hosted before, but as the realization settled over both of them, they began to chuckle.

"It doesn't feel like it, because we've been together so often!" said Saki, thinking of the Photon-Lyrilily bootcamp they just finished.

"Yes, I've been in your care since before my debut," Haruna chuckled, and she wasn't just referring to the pre-concert, joint bootcamp.

Saki's eyes widened in remembrance. "That's right! We actually knew each other even before your debut!" They hadn't realized it until a conversation during the bootcamp, but Saki and Haruna had crossed paths in the past. Saki was auditioning for Photon at the time, having completed a few other auditions for other bands, units, and musical positions, and Haruna's father was there, since he had experience with DJ equipment. Even though Haruna and Saki were the same age, Haruna felt as though Saki was the older one of the two. She had a similar, naive quality about her that Haruna identified with, but Saki still had more worldly knowledge and experience than the poor, sheltered, Catholic schoolgirl.

"I could've been her mother. I raised her!" Saki suddenly turned to the crowd, silver eyes sparkling as she made sure her microphone picked up on her words loud and clear. Truly, the concert's energy was infectious, for the Saki of old would've never been so playful, especially before such a large crowd! But tonight, everyone laughed, even Haruna.

"No, big sister! You're my big sister!" Haruna corrected. Like Saki, she was also unusually playful, feeding off of Saki's energy.

"Oh yes, big sister, big sister!" Saki nodded, laughing as well. Haruna was just too kind! But she had a point that even though she understood Saki's "mom" joke, Saki wasn't that old. You're too kind, Haruna!

Then she related the rest of the tale to the audience, how she and Haruna met at an audition, even though only Saki was there to audition. Despite that fact, the two managed to strike up a small conversation as they waited for Haruna's Dad to finish his work, and for the mysterious Producer Shano H. to call Saki in for the big moment of truth.

"I think... I recall... That you were very much into Love Live back th—WAIT, OHMYGOSH! I'M SO SORRY! SORRY! SORRYSORRY! AHAHAHA!" In the most out-of-character moment any of them had ever seen of Photon's poor DJ, Saki hopped up as if the chair beneath her was suddenly set on fire. She literally spun across stage covering her mouth with the mic and sheaf of script papers, still apologizing hysterically and laughing with nerves for committing such a grave faux pax in such a public place.

Meanwhile, Lyrilily's poor DJ also hopped up, howling uncontrollably with laughter as she got the BEST view of poor Saki spinning round and round like a DJ disc. "SORRY! SORRY! AHAHAHA! SORRY! I REALLY AM! AHAHAHA! SO, SO SORRY! AHAHAHA!" Like Haruna, Saki just couldn't stop howling with laughter, even as she tried to apologize for her social blunder.

All Haruna could do was laugh, embarrassed but helpless. "AHAHAHA! W-wait! Saki! SAKI—! AHAHAHAHAHA!"

Haruna tried to reach out to Saki, but she couldn't stop doubling over. Saki, meanwhile, had since returned to her seat on her side of the stage, but rather than sitting down, she fell to her knees in front of it, slumping over it face-forward, still shaking with nervous laughter.

"What now? What now?! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm in shock...!" Saki managed to drag herself to her feet, still covering her face and laughing.

"It's ok, Saki, it's ok!" Haruna finally managed to speak through her laughter long enough to speak through Saki's. "There won't be an archive for this!" She gestured to the audience. Since this was a slightly impromptu interview session, it was not part of the recorded concert (which of course was for Operation: Beckoning Cat).

"Oh, no archive? No archive!" Saki threw up her hands in relief and turned a cheeky smile to the audience that seemed to say, "Thank goodness!" But of course, she was still cracking up with laughter every other word, if that, and so was Haruna.

Finally, Saki collapsed back in her seat, though she was still chuckling. "Whew! That really caught me off guard!" Her eyes and mouth were wide as she wiped off her sweaty forehead. Haruna had yet another bout of laughter, but she was able to push it down quicker this time.

"Don't worry, remember, we've sung songs from them before!" She again reassured her fellow DJ through her own mirth and amusement. It just was considered common sense and courtesy not to talk about rival musicians—or anyone backing them—during interviews unrelated to those rivals, or any pending competitions (like D4Fes). So for Saki to name-drop one of the other music companies was a little taboo, even though it was clearly an accident. But as Haruna pointed out, it was not as if their agencies had NO affiliation with other ones. Collabs and cover songs absolutely happened!

"Oh! Right!" Saki leaned back in her chair again in further relief. "Thank goodness."

"Yes, yes, it's fine, it's fine," Haruna waved a reassuring, dismissive hand, then dissolved into another fit of laughter. This, in turn, incited laughter from Saki, but Haruna managed to rise to her feet through the laughter and pretend to shake an angry finger at the other DJ. "And we've only just started this show 10 minutes ago!" she shrieked, also gesturing to the audience.

"Right?! We just started!" Saki agreed, and as Haruna's playful jest sank in, she began laughing yet again too. All around, the audience applauded, just as surprised and tickled as the two DJs themselves. "Whew! I was completely taken by surprise, there!"

Saki and Haruna were able to get the interview back on track after that, but no doubt, the night would remain iconic, not just because of the melodious song, but all the hilarity that ensued afterward.

No archive, eh, Chairman...? A certain someone may or may not have left the cameras rolling for this exact purpose. She had no idea Saki would make the blunder that she did, but as it turned out, leaving some of the cams on for "posterity" was a wonderful idea. The girl in question smiled wickedly as she looked at the recording on her phone. Given enough time, it would end up on YouTube: Saki Izumo Utters The Forbidden Words In Bushiroad's Dominion.

AN: Based on an old, hilarious YouTube video with basically the same title (just change "Saki Izumo" to "Risa Tsumugi").

Honestly I'd love to see Risa voice Rinku or Rika or someone like that (re-imagine this scene with Rika and Marika, OMG, LOL)!

Also no beta, we die like lazies! Plus this felt so OOC and crack-y anyway that maybe it's fitting, LOL!
