"Horace?" He pushed up against her, holding her close as she had tried to leave him. He didn't want the warm feeling she gave him to go away by her leaving. So, he was preventing it by prolonging her departure.
It had been days since the boy had caught a glimpse of the girl. He had to print something for one of his class projects. So he found himself in the library, and as the printer printed the needed pages, he saw her. Well, he smelled her before he saw her. Her scent drove him wild from the minute he smelled it. He quickly packed his papers into the folder he always kept in his bag before following behind her. This is where she led them.
"What are you doing in the library, Hmm?" He pressed her into the stack of books, turning her around to face him. He grew tired of looking at the back of her head.
She pushed him away from her before he could settle her against the bookshelf, "Leave me alone."
He grabbed her before she could walk away, hooking his arms around her waist, "Let me make it up to you." She pushed against his chest until he let her go, "No."
He sat against the side of the bookshelf, watching her walk away from him. He sighed as he thought about that day in his room: "I shouldn't have let her leave. I should've just explained myself and apologized." He thought to himself, saddened by his actions that hurt such a sweet girl.
He found her sitting at a table with her books in front of her. "Portia, look, I didn't mean to hurt you. My actions were uncalled for, but I am truly sorry. Please know that I am." He held his hand on his chest, showing her his core. When she looked at him, she ignored him at first. Then, he gave her his heart and placed it in her hands. As a final apology, he left the library and the girl behind.
