"What about truth or dare, but if you don't do it, you have to drink a shot?" asked Jace.
Everyone standing next to him nodded and wanted to join in, except me of course, he didn't have any good ideas.

"Navy?"
he asked.

"What?"

"Are you in?"

I sighed.
"Fine by me."
I rolled my eyes.

We all went upstairs to a large room that was a bit quieter than the rest of the house. We had been playing for a while and after a few questions, I was already drunk. I felt a little nauseous, but otherwise it was fine. Then, it was my turn again.

"Okay Navy, what do you choose?" asked Amber, a girl from my chemistry class.
I had only chosen truth for the last few questions, so I decided to choose dare.

"Dare,"
I answered.

"Okay, your task is to go over to that guy over there and kiss him."
She pointed at someone and when I turned around, I saw that it was Dylan.

"Okay, no problem,"
I said.
I acted confident or brave, but in reality I wasn't at all. When I turned to Jace, I saw something in his eyes. Something I had seen before, anger, but... jealousy?
No... I was just imagining it.

I stood up and made my way over to Dylan. When I stood in front of him, I tapped him lightly on the shoulder and when he turned around, I kissed him on the lips. He kissed back and the kiss got longer and longer. I pulled back immediately.

"What was that for?"
he asked, he looked excited but also very surprised.

"For nothing,"
I said.
I wanted to stop the conversation, since it was just a dare task anyway.
I left the room Dylan was in without saying anything else, entered the room where everyone played and sat down. I looked at Jace again, the same eyes as before.

It was my turn. I chose Lisa, a friend of Kayla's, who was very nice.

"Okay Lisa, truth or dare?"

"Dare" she chose.

"Fine"
I came closer to her and whispered something in her ear.
"I'm giving you the dare to take your drink and pour it on Jace."

She started laughing and nodded, she was about to pour her drink on him when we heard a loud noise.

"What the fuck? What was that?" asked Kayla.

We stopped playing and all ran downstairs. Downstairs were boys laughing their heads off and next to them was a large and expensive vase that was lying broken on the floor.

"Oh my God, are you serious? Get out!"
Kayla looked angry.
It was already 2am anyway and so Kayla ended the party.
Everyone left except Josh and Jace. Of course.

The two boys were just getting something and Kayla and I were in the kitchen.

"Navs, Josh and Jace are staying here tonight if that's okay."

"Yeah, sure, don't worry!"
I said, the only problem was Jace.

They came in and I wanted to avoid a conversation.

"Alright guys, I'm going to sleep,"
I said as I stood on the stairs, about to go upstairs.

"Good night, clumsy,"
Jace said before I disappeared into my room.
I didn't answer him anymore and closed my room door.

Kayla's parents weren't due back until the next morning.
I wanted to call my family when I was ready for bed, but I was too tired and fell asleep as soon as I closed my eyes.

AT 4am

I woke up at 4am with a weird feeling in my throat.
My throat was very dry.
Still half asleep, I reached for my glass of water that was on the nightstand next to me.
As I was about to drink something from it, when I noticed that the glass was empty.

"Oh man, seriously?"
I said quietly and annoyed.
I really had to drink something.
I had no choice but to go downstairs and have a drink there.
I got up from my bed and put on my slippers.
I was cold, so I put on a sweater, the one that was the nearest to grab.
I put it on without even looking.
I sneaked out of the room and went quietly down the stairs.
I had reached the kitchen and grabbed a glass and the bottle of water.
I poured water into the glass when a shadow appeared behind me.

"What a coincidence to see you here, clumsy" said the person behind me.

I was very frightened and jumped up.
"Oh my god Jace, can you stop showing up where I am and scaring the crap out of me for once?"

He got a playful smirk on his face.
He looked me up and down.
"Nice sweater you're wearing" he said.

"Leave my sweater out you idiot" I replied.

"Oops, sorry, I didn't know that was YOUR sweater."

I took a look at the sweater I was wearing and realized it wasn't mine, but the one Jace was wearing before the party.

He started laughing and scratched the back of his neck.
I then realized that Jace probably left the sweater in my room when he was making out with that girl.

I looked at him, very shocked and embarrassed.
I immediately took the sweater off.

"You could have left it on, it suited you, clumsy"
he said, a playful smirk appeared on his face.

"Shut up,"
I replied and started to grin, even laugh.

We looked deep into each other's eyes.
He had those hazel eyes, they were beautiful.

Wait, what did I say?

He came closer and closer.
His face was only inches away from mine and strangely enough I didn't move my face away.
He brushed a strand of hair out of my face to better admire my eyes.
He came even closer...
I could feel his breath on my lips,
Our noses almost touched
we were about to kiss,
when we heard Kayla and Josh laughing, they were on the stairs and on their way down.

I immediately pulled my face away and kept my distance from Jace.
We both looked nervously at the stairs.

"Navy? Jace? What are you doing here?" asked Josh with a grin, he knew what was going on.
Kayla started to grin too. They both tried to hide it, but they couldn't.

"Sorry guys, I just wanted to drink water, I'm going back to sleep now," I said, yawning on purpose so they thought I was tired and nothing exciting had just happened.

EXCEPT THAT JACE'S LIPS ALMOST TOUCHED MINE,
WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME?

I ran to the stairs and past Kayla, she winked at me, which was a sign for 'you have to tell me everything later' .

I rolled my eyes and laughed lightly.
I went back upstairs and lay down in bed.
What just happened? Oh my God, that couldn't happen, ever again.
