Coming Out

The next morning Jabra woke up to the smell of breakfast as usual and knew Draxus was awake. The man had made a habit of cooking the team breakfast most mornings. Jabra got dressed and headed down to the kitchen where he saw Draxus at the stove flipping pancakes. He grinned as he watched him cook and he felt his heart fluttering in his chest as he smiled. He watched Draxus for a few moments before approaching him and wrapping his arms around him from behind. He heard Draxus hum in response as he hugged him and Jabra couldn't stop himself from smiling as he kissed him on the cheek. "Morning Boss." Jabra greeted as he looked at Draxus who flipped another pancake onto the growing stack. He smelled the delicious food cooking and he looked at Draxus with an excited expression on his face. "What are you making? It smells great." Jabra asked as he stepped around Draxus and looked at him. "Need any help?" Draxus smiled softly as he looked down at Jabra and flipped more pancakes. "Pancakes, bacon, eggs, and fruit," Draxus answered and could practically see Jabra drooling already. "Go sit, I'll bring you a plate when it's ready," Draxus said and leaned down kissing Jabra on the forehead. Jabra quickly backed away and looked at the doorway to make sure no one else saw that. Draxus gave him a confused expression as he raised his eyebrow. "What?"

"Nothing..." Jabra mumbled as he looked at Draxus. "I just don't want anyone else seeing us... you know how people talk." Jabra explained and he looked at Draxus with a nervous expression on his face. "Just not here okay?" Jabra asked as he looked at him with a serious expression on his face. Jabra didn't want everyone to know that he was dating Draxus and he didn't want to deal with the rumors or questions. "Let's just keep this between us. At least until I figure out if this really is something I want. I just... I don't want everyone to know what we're doing right now. Is that okay?" Jabra asked nervously and looked at Draxus with a shy expression on his face. "I just want to take things slow for right now. I'm still getting used to the idea of being with a man." Jabra murmured softly as he looked at Draxus. Draxus sighed softly and closed his eyes before nodding his head, he understood what Jabra was saying. He didn't like that he couldn't openly show affection and show that Jabra was his. But he agreed to give Jabra a chance knowing it could lead to Jabra ultimately not liking him. He hoped that didn't happen but he knew it was there, making him agree. Draxus didn't want to do anything that might push Jabra away. "Fine. But you better make up for it in the time that we're alone, understand?" Draxus said with a slight huff. "Sure thing boss." Jabra rumbled as he looked at him and he felt butterflies in his stomach as he smiled at him. Jabra liked Draxus a lot and he was looking forward to spending more time with him. He knew that they needed to be careful and he didn't want everyone else getting involved. He wanted to be able to explore his feelings without others interfering. He wanted to be able to enjoy being with Draxus without having to worry about what everyone else would think. Jabra looked at Draxus as he cooked and he felt his cheeks heating up as he watched him. He was enjoying being with Draxus and he was happy that he was willing to wait for him. Jabra knew that he liked Draxus and he wanted to see where things would go between them.

A few days later Jabra came back from a mission absolutely exhausted having barely slept the past few days. Draxus was working on some paperwork when Jabra swung the door open and closed it. He walked in with dark circles and bloodshot eyes with his mission report in hand. Jabra dropped the report on Draxus's desk before sitting in a chair. Draxus furrowed his brows and stood up from his desk, walking over to Jabra. He reached down and cupped the other man's face, stroking his cheek with his thumb. "You look terrible puppy." Draxus rumbled out as Jabra leaned into his touch and kissed his palm. "I missed you.." Jabra mumbled sleepily as he looked at Draxus who gave him a tired smile. Draxus was the only person who dared call him puppy and he liked it when he said it. He closed his eyes and sighed contently as he nuzzled his face against Draxus's hand. Jabra opened his eyes and looked at him with a soft expression on his face. "I just need to sleep," Jabra murmured softly and he looked at Draxus. "You don't mind if I take a nap, do you? I just want to get some rest before dinner." Jabra said and he felt his eyes getting heavy as he looked at Draxus. "I'm so tired...." Draxus hummed low in his chest and nodded his head before holding his hand out to him. Jabra took it and Draxus pulled him up and into a hug. "C'mon baby, let's go get you some rest." He mumbled against Jabra's neck and gave him a soft kiss before releasing him. Jabra followed Draxus to his room and as soon as they stepped in Jabra inhaled deeply. It smelled like Draxus. He shrugged off his shirt and pants, crawling into bed to snuggle under the blankets. Draxus took off his pants and crawled in with Jabra and cuddled up to him. He wrapped his arms around the other and gently rubbed his hands on his body.
