The three of them stood frozen in place, their eyes fixed on the door, not daring to make a single movement or sound, their hearts pounding with the fear that whoever lurked outside might sense their presence.

Tord's body was drenched in sweat, a physical manifestation of the anxiety gripping him, causing him to clutch onto Y/N's arm with a vice-like grip. Desperation etched on his face, he fumbled in his pocket, retrieving a fork taken from the kitchen, a makeshift weapon in case they needed to defend themselves in the face of impending danger...well somewhat of a weapon.

Taking a deep breath, Y/N summoned her courage and bravely advanced toward the door, her hand reaching out tentatively. In her mind, she reasoned that the person on the other side was most likely Tom, but a small flicker of doubt crept in. Surrounded by uncertainty, her heart pounded as she imagined the worst-case scenario - a zombie. Despite this chilling thought, Y/N comforted herself with the belief that zombies, if indeed it was one, lacked the cognitive abilities to even knock.

As the woman approached the door, her hand instinctively reaching for the knife concealed within her grasp, her heart racing with a mixture of fear and determination. Edd's quick reflexes kicked in as he swiftly grabbed her arm, halting her advance towards the ominous threshold that loomed before her.

His grip was firm, a silent plea conveyed through his touch, a shared concern for her safety evident in his eyes. Y/N hesitated momentarily, absorbing the unspoken urgency in Edd's actions, before gently extricating her arm from his hold. With a deep breath to steady her nerves, she steeled herself for whatever lay beyond the door, her hand trembling slightly as she tentatively grasped the cool metal of the doorknob.

As she slowly opened the door as wide as she could, a rush of cold air greeted her, causing her to instinctively squint her eyes against the gust. With her knife outstretched towards the figure before her, she allowed her gaze to acclimate to the swirling wind, studying the person as thoroughly as possible.

Noticing the individual's distinctive features - the striking strawberry blonde hair, intense red eyes, sickly pale green skin, and attire splattered with blood - her jaw dropped in astonishment. Though she recognized this mysterious figure instantly, disbelief washed over her as she grappled with the reality of his unexpected presence right in front of her.

".....M...A...T...T...?..."

Matt slowly raises his gaze, fixating on the woman before him. A wicked grin slowly creeps across his face, contorting his features. His arms reach out, one missing, adding to the eerie scene unfolding before the woman. With each step, he closes the distance, the woman's expression shifting from confusion to sheer horror. Her futile attempts to retreat only fuel his drive to draw nearer.

Tord's heart raced as he let out a piercing scream, the sound echoing through the room, his instinct urging him to seek refuge behind the safety of the couch, the once familiar space now a temporary sanctuary. "..HOW IS HE ALIVE!!?... I THOUGHT HE WAS FUCKIN DEAD!" he exclaimed in disbelief, the fork in his trembling hand serving as a feeble source of comfort and protection in the face of the unimaginable.

His gaze remained fixed on the zombified figure before him, every fiber of his being filled with an overwhelming sense of dread and unease, the fear of the unknown gripping him tightly. Meanwhile, Edd stood motionless, a statue of shock and confusion, his mind struggling to process the reality unfolding before him - his friend, now transformed into a creature of the undead, approaching them with an eerie determination that sent chills down his spine.
