Chapter 1

Megan's pov

It's April 19th 2022, I just got home from work and opened a can of Dr.Pepper. I am currently 19. Birthday is in 16 days. I have nobody to share it with as I am an orphan. Never knew my parents, never got adopted.
Made it on my own.

After I finish my soda and take my sleeping pill I throw the can away and go take a shower. I take pills because I can't sleep without them. Most of the time they don't work. The ones I use say they take 20 minutes but for me they take 2 hours. I have no clue why, but I'm built different. After I finish my shower I put on a hoodie and sweats and go to bed.

I wake up to a slight breeze and sunshine. My bed feels a bit hard. I hear some voices and footsteps. Immediately open my eyes and see that I am on the ground.

Noticing people looking at me I get up. I look around seeing I am in a park. I see a couple on a bench. Walking up to them they look at me and smile. I give a small smile. " Hey, can you tell me where I am?" I ask.

" You're in Central Park, in New York." The woman says.

My eyes widen. " What?" I ask and look around again. My eyes then land on a building that shouldn't even be there. Avengers Tower.

" Are you okay?" The man asks.

" Yeah, do you know where the library is?" I ask.

" It's about a block away." He says and points of where. I pat my clothes and find my phone and earbuds in my pocket.

" Okay thank you." I say and walk in the direction he pointed at. I look back at the tower and think I am just dreaming.

As soon as I get to the library I go to the first available computer. I do research and find out that everyone has a soulmate. Their names are on your right wrist. I look at mine and eyes widen as I count 60 names.

62 soulmates. I have soulmates? I look at the names and all of them seem familiar. I do more research that does confirm that the Avengers exist here. Even the Arrowverse crew. I look back at my wrist and immediately know who most of them are. Maybe all. As soon as I am done I leave the library and try to avoid the tower.

                          - Time Skip-

It is now April 19th 2024. I have officially been in this world for 2 years. I haven't met a single soulmate yet as I am trying to avoid them. I also did find out my phone from my world works perfectly fine. I did manage to get a job at a cafe. Soon after I was able to get to get a car and get an apartment. Even a phone for this world stuff.

I did also find out that Taylor Swift doesn't exist at all so I have decided to use her songs so that the people can hear her music. Plus I can make the music videos she never made and that's in my head.

I am currently at the park listening to The Tortured Poets Department as I write down lyrics from the Debut album. My phone still works so that how I know she released another album. I all of a sudden feel my wrist burn.

I immediately look around as the park is busy. My eyes spot 3 people running. The closer they got the more I recognized them as Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers. I look away and pull out an earbud.

I hear footsteps behind me. " Where is she?" I hear Steve ask.

" She could be anyone." Bucky says.

I take my phone and use it as a way to see what they are doing through the camera. I see them looking around which I know is for me. As soon as Bucky looks over I snap a picture to seem like I was taking a selfie.

I look at the time and get up and rush by them as they are looking the other way. I quickly accept them and they look at each other. Smirking I rush to work.
