Chapter's Theme Song: New Day

---

Valt was ecstatic.

Not only was he about to visit Spain for the first time in his life, he was about to experience a whole new beyblading world in a new environment. BC. Sol had recruited him, and he was coming full force ahead. Valt could hardly sleep a wink on the plane during his trip, not to mention the countless pictures he took on his phone of the view before the plane took off. Everything was going great, he had just won second place during the Japan's National beyblading tournament and now he was about to go do some more special training to improve his skills. Everything was going to be great.

Valt's friends wished him well before he took off to his journey. Each of them saying their goodbyes. Well, almost everyone. Valt frowned as he checked his text messages. Still nothing from him. Maybe he has already forgotten about me...Valt shook his head at the thought. There was no way his best friend would have forgotten about him, not after all the good memories they made together. Shu must just be very busy. Yeah, that was it. Valt reassured himself. If something was wrong, his friend would contact him so there was no need to worry.

The world isn't kind. And it certainly isn't fair. Some people are born into richness, privileged if you will, while others are in poverty. Despite the alluring shine that the beyblading world portrays with all it's tournaments and victors, a dark blanket covers the shadows where the losers lie. A blanket that others tend to not see, or ignore.

Some bladers are gifted with raw talent while others have to power through their journeys with brute force and determination. If they're lucky, they'll make it quite far and achieve promising rankings.

But some others have neither, and can only dream of becoming the greatest. A dream. That was all the blading world would be for the losers. Power was all that truly mattered when it came to blading. Sometimes, just being cheerful isn't enough to win.

Our little ball of sunshine has never had to question this part of reality. After all, he had won second place back in Japan. He also had his friends by his side. But most importantly, he had his optimistic spirit and drive that "beyblading should be fun." All of this would soon change, when a few unfortunate events snowball into a great boulder, it will alter the course of his story.

If only Valt knew what the future had in store, he wouldn't be laughing anymore.
