"Seems like I was wrong about my decision. How disappointing."

Valt's eyes felt hazy as he tried to focus his vision on the owner of BC sol. Kris was standing still in front of him with her arms crossed, with an impassive expression on her face. Valt slowly raised his head, trying to meet her cold gaze. His knees wobbled as he tried to get up but failed and stumbled back onto the ground.

"Not only were you immensely late, but you couldn't even complete half of the challenges here. There's no point in recruiting you from the opposite side of the world if you can't even stand your ground." Trad sneered, the sinister smirk evident on his face.

"This isn't fair give me one more chance I can prove that I am worthy!" Valt pleaded. Valt didn't take into account how his fatigue had grown throughout the day and how it would impact him as he tried to attempt the harsh tests that Trad put him up to. The tests, seemingly harmless on the surface, were brutal. From continuously yanking a heavy steel cord from a launching machine, to running an absurd amount of laps around the facility, Valt had long ago burned through all the calories in his system. At some point during his tests, the owner of B.C Sol, Kris, got called down to see him. Kris recognized the overworked blader with a frown on her face. Instead of joy upon discovering the blader that was missing from earlier today, she looked disappointed. Kris shot a glance at Trad questioning what he was doing letting him in.

"This blader insists that he is worthy to join us despite his absurd tardiness. The other bladers are eating dinner right now and we do not want to disturb them. Not to mention, we already have other practice sessions scheduled and we cannot easily alter them just for one person. I don't want to waste the other bladers time so I put him to basic fitness training which he can't even complete. How unfortunate." Trad explained. Kris slowly nodded her head in agreement. But in her eyes she looked at Valt with pity.

"W-wait! This isn't fair! I'm not trying to make excuses but look, I've been running around all day trying to find this place so I've already been worn out long before these challenges began!"

Kris saw how tired Valt was. He clearly has been through a rough day. Trad noticed the softness in her eyes and added deviously, "This proves that he shouldn't be able to join. It seemed that you were wrong to recruit him after all. Remember, B.C Sol is looking for strong bladers that can withstand rough challenges. No. Matter. What." Trad added on with a whisper. "Remember you can't play favourites. It won't be fair to the other bladers if Valt gets a better chance when hundreds of other promising bladers who showed up on time didn't make the cut."

Trad had a point. They had limited spots for the B.C Sol team and earlier today, two unexpected strong bladers showed up for the tryouts. One stamina and the other defense. Those two have already been accepted in the team as they've shown great promise. They've also defeated pretty much every other blader in the tryouts, the defense blader coming out on top with the stamina one being second. Thus, in retrospect, B.C Sol didn't need Valt Aoi. He had been replaced. However, Kris heard that Valt gave Lui a run for his money during the Japanese national tournament even if he ended up losing in the end, and the battle was quite long. Even if winning against Lui was a fluke, she wasn't ready to let go of him just yet. It didn't matter if Valt was tired, if he could pass the challenge she had in her mind. Then...yes, he would be allowed to join. It would be reasonable enough.
